Hearn tried to buy BDO for a million with a view of turning into a U23 (or under 21) competition feeding the PDC. BDO turned the deal down.

The folks in charge at the bdo are still suffering with delusion and refuse to accept that times have changed and that the pdc is the better organisation with the better players.
Wolfie Adams is pretty much the only player who wins the bdo title that remains loyal to the bdo and that's only because it also allows him to remain as sinn fein leader
