Yes because he was a lot bigger. 14 pounds or so bigger.

You mean like the Marcos Maidana fight? Khan took a lot of punishment in that fight. Even if you’re knocked out with one punch it does permanent damage to your brain, though you may not be able to measure it your brain function won’t be 100% any more. The good thing is you may work that much harder on defense so you’ll never get hit like that again. It’s better to learn the easy way than the hard way, but whatever it takes to convince you you’re not yet a defensive master. People like Khan take a lot of convincing.

you raise an important point. i am not
sure if that is true, but i heard the single
punch knockout does much less damage
than the war that goes the distance.

on the overall topic, in the day and age
of well managed careers i find khan's
attitude refreshing. i always like to watch
him, since he brings excitement and his
offence is just fun to watch.

khan with a chin would be monstrous,
khan as he is, is a good ambassador for
the sport and guaranteed entertainment.

NOT according to ME - OR the JUDGES... The judges has Canelo winning after the 5th round... In the 6th round Canelo had a 2-point round going - so if Khan had a super chin and was able to beat the count he was still very far behind... So WHO was boxing WHO'S ears off??? ... The only guy who got his ears blown off was Khan. I thought Khan did well in the first 2 rounds - but only because Canelo was feeling him out and not applying a whole lot of pressure. One thing Canelo learned from the Lara and Mayweather fights - you have to be able to score from the outside because big punchers are almost REQUIRED to carry the fight.. That allows the lighter hitter to pick you off as you force the action - if you can't box.

Yeah but you obviously don't know much about Boxing. So you thinking Canelo was winning doesn't mean much. Khan won 4 rounds out of the first 5.

You don't know how to score a fight, neither do the Golden Boy judges, Teddy atlas summed it up perfectly after the fight. "Either they are incompetent or corrupt and I can't see how anyone can be that incompetent".

James McDonnell is the brainless and incompetent scorer and should shut his stupid face. Khan's fluff punches don't count as much as Canelo's sharper and heavier blows. The scoring criterion is "clean EFFECTIVE punches landed" Khan did win a couple rounds but Canelo took over and had him gaged out. Teddy Atlas is a loose cannon minus a brain. Atlas predicted Canelo was so weight drained Cotto would easily beat him because "Canelo shouldn't have killed himself making the weight." ... I know what a weight drained fighter looks like. They have that special wasted look that Paul Williams had before the 1st Quintana fight.. De La Hoya had before the Pacquiao fight.. and Canelo had before the Mayweather fight.. Canelo looked fine before his last 2 fights. Atlas is ignorant and sees a lot of things that aren't there.

That fight was certainly an inevitable execution. The worst part was the health risks, because of size difference.

You thought Atlas's scoring was good. He said the judges were incompetent. Maybe the one was who gave Canelo 4 rounds was. Even if you gave Khan the first 3 rounds like one judge did - Canelo won the 4th, 5th, and the 6th by 2 points if Khan could have beaten the count. So he was still winning on points before the halfway point was reached.

I haven't even seen Atlas' scores or comments.

.Isn't this what we've been wanting? Fighters taking more risks moving up to fight the best. Is he wrong for daring to achieve greatness? So it didn't work out, he got KOd, that's the risk you take in boxing.
