Just think it's the wrong fight for him, whyte is too game (for him at the current moment). Hughies looked a bit, what's the word, weary in his recent performances. Think his allergys could actually fornicate up his career. Also not sure he has the power to hold dillian off, hope I'm wrong.

I think I remember he was either trained by Peter at one point or did several camps with them.

Fury is 20-0 and people are saying 'it's too early to fight Whyte', 'no need' for a British title fight etc... What's going on?

If Hughie's health is the reason the fight isn't happening then fair enough, but it does my head in to see people not taking fights because they're "good friends" with someone. Weren't Crolla and Murray good friends? Still gave us a brilliant fight. Doesn't need to be any hard feelings to produce a good fight.

Unfortunately this just proves in another thread where we discussed Hughie just dodgy any hard fights. Real shame as Peter always talks sense. This time it seems like the Gypsy family are ducking a fight? Hughie yet to beat any average domestic fighter so all this talk of world honors is a joke.

Need to back up your talk now Peter/Hughie and take this fight.

At least Peter has just said it, most just think of an excuse.

Didn't think Hughie team would take on the Whyte fight, just keep on fighting fighters who are smaller and who aren't a power puncher, he will go quickly up the WBO rankings and Tyson will give up the belt if he ever wins a final eliminator.

Peter just said Hughie is in a good position within the world rankings.....he never said that his son is dodging this fight because he may lose which is essentially one could suggest his actions are saying? Talk is cheap now from peter

If his next fight was for a European title then fair enough, but even then the British title is well worth having and Whyte would be a good learning fight.

yes I agree....although I believe Tyson ducked Price for the British title at the time as he was too big a threat. Maloney offered him stupid money too.....

Peter a business man and with him now being a FW fighter if he wins his next 4 fights he will suddenly be in a final eliminator for the WBO title. Tyson will give it up (if he's still champion then) they are going to look for the easiest route to the title. Hughie real pays days will come if he ever wins the title. he probably not on much money as he has a really small fan base.

I genuinely think it's because the lad's not well. I don't think he's avoiding Whyte to get a shot at the WBO. He's not anywhere near that. If Whyte would beat him right now then lots of other guys would too and he needs a good rest and to get himself sorted. That's it.

hughie isn't a big puncher and isn't a strong physical fighter he doesn't of seemed to of got his man strength yet i would swerve whyte as well i could see dillion pushing him around with ease ,it's a fight hughie could win but if dillion can hurt AJ i'm sure he could hurt hughie and maybe put him to sleep ,chisora would be a better fight for hughie as he dosen't have much of a punch

Peter not stupid he would't make Hughie fight if he was ill. Kassi was awkward and Hughie doesn't have the style to take him out. Hughie pretty boring to watch, most of his fights he will be told to take it to points unless the opponent is taylor made to be taken out.

Chisora would be a good fight for either of them
