Jordan was doing Great. It reminded me of Tyson vs Tillman.

Tillman was winning the first round handily boxing, then with about 10 seconds left - Timber !

I can't help but feel like Shimmell's career has been badly mismanaged. First he gets built up very slowly against low-level opposition. Fine, that's not out of the ordinary for a prospect. Then, he puts on a stinker against a very average Thomas. That fight should have demonstrated that Shimmell needed a lot of work before taking on a world-class opponent. So what do they do? Throw him in with an absolute killer in Gassiev less than a year later.

Jordan Shimmell was not really a top 50 fighter and had no place in a world title eliminator. He had only ever beaten one top 100 ranked fighter (ranked 86). Those involved in this fight should be ashamed. We are dealing with peoples lives. Jordan could have been killed or seriously injured. On what basis the IBF saw fit to involve him in their rankings is a total disgrace.

We could all see it but his dad was blind, hopefully that's Jordan's last fight but nothing would surprise me.

Mismanagement at it's finest.
Jordan was unbeaten before Haymon and was fed to the wolves quickly, kid could bounce back if he had everything right but doubt it will happen.
