And who will pay money for it??? Riabinski???
The crowd, come on kids, even you are expected to know at least something of boxing if you post on this forum.

It's not a title fight since Briggs isn't in the top list of the WBC at all...

Sorry kid, it becomes harder and harder to answer all the odd things that flip around in your mind.
One idiot can ask more as ten scientists can answer.

Fighters can magically and suddenly appear on a list. You don't have to beat a contender to appear on a top 15 list. This is Boxing. :bag:

Then it has to happen within 5 days, it's possible, but I would be amazed if it happened.

I agree it won't happen. It makes way too much sense to find a replacement for Povetkin.

Boxing is the ONLY sport that would not come up with a replacement.

Chris Arreola, or someone else not in the Top 20.

6 .- Joseph Parker (New Zealand) OPBF No(has fiht this week)
7 .- Andy Ruiz (Mexico) NABF No(just had fight)
8 .- David Haye (GB) No(has scheduled fight)
9 .- Bryant Jennings (US) Possible
10 .- Malik Scott (US) No

12 .- Eric Molina (US) No
13 .- Dereck Chisora (GB) No
14 .- Ruslan Chagaev (Uzbekistan) Retired?
15 .- Gerald Washington (US) Possible

So, Jennings or Washington, in NY on very short notice?
#16 is Kyotara from Japan. . . The WBC could allow an exemption due to the circumstances and allow a quickly arranged Interim fight for Wilder.

Another option is Briggs on the Haye undercard, he was planning to fight on that date anyway, Briggs would love it, big crowd, name it.
No way should Wilder be on the undercard of Haye-Gyiyg.

Then what does he want to do? Nothing? Oké, well go ahead, do nothing.

Wilder is in a tough spot.

I don't think the WBC will sanction anything until they have completed their investigation. Judging from what happened with Browne, that could take a while. Depending on the results of the investigation, I would expect the WBC to either A) Order Povetkin and Wilder to fight or B) Order Wilder to fight the next available contender (Stiverne).

If Wilder tried to fight an unsanctioned bout prior to the completion of the investigation, I suspect he would be sued by Povetkins team as breach of contract.

He probably just has to sit tight and wait it out.

Not that simple, Wilder was getting over 4 million for that fight.

The WBC are the only ones that could stop Wilder from taking another fight. He'll end up suing the promoter for his purse and winning.

I mistakenly typed WBA instead of WBC. Fixed in original post.

I think we will end up with competing lawsuits instead of competing boxers. I was really looking forward to this fight.

Ryabinsky is just creating a smokescreen to try and prohibit the Wilder suit. Considering he sued King over Lebvedev/Jones, he's going to have a tough road here.

Briggs doesn't have an opponent. A perfect chance for Wilder to use his preparation and add another bum to his resume.

Briggs is probably the biggest risk Wilder has ever faced actually

Donkey Wilder shouldn't have left England, but stayed and fought Briggs. However, it was too close to Russia, and he was scared.

I'm sure he was scared, I'm scared for the Japanese, so I don't go to America, this since America is a lot closer to Japan as the UK is to Russia.
