Great to hear this, hopefully Anthony Cacace can get back into the ring asap and that he hasn't been wasting his time in limbo by not staying in the gym.
Imo be won't be at super feather. Time will tell but I think and heard he struggled making weight and that's with Shane so think we may well see him at lightweight. Be a good fight for an Irish title maybe him v Tennyson who I heard is moving up or James fryers .

Do you think Cacace will be as effective moving up in weight? Lightweights will be similar sized to him and may well come in heavier on the night meaning he could well lose quite a bit of the advantages he holds at Super Feather.
Would Tennyson be moving up 2 weight divisions to Lightweight for that fight to happen?
I meant that fight if he did do super feather. Imo on his fight with Ronnie and this is in no way an excuse, the referee allowing him to paw out his jab and use it as a range finder to smash in backhands won that fight. The referee warned him how many times and still did not stop it. I believe he would be even better at lightweight though and would possibly carry power that they all speak of as Ronnie still maintains he's sparred with a lot heavier hitters including Tennyson. He's a neat boxer and I believe he would beat cardle. What you make of him?

I was impressed by him but thought he was open at the same time, Ronnie had patches in the fight where he caught him pretty easily and I think if Ronnie had went to the body earlier he could have slowed him down in the later rounds but I think you could see the difference in the 2 in terms of boxing experience i.e. Cacace had a much longer amateur career and picked up a wee bit more learning. I do think that at Lightweight he would lose some of the tools that make him successful at Super Feather but I also agree that he could beat Scott Cardle who i think is very lucky to still be British champion.
It would be sad if he didn't kick on from where he was at last year winning the Celtic title and imo he should be in the mix for an eliminator for the British title at Super Feather once he sorts out a new manager/promoterIf he moves up then masher Dodd would be a good measuring stick to see where he would sit at domestic level.

How does it work for a boxer to buy out their contract - is there a set amount (based on length of contract to go) or is it set by a Board tribunal or something?

Managerial contract would be through the board unless they signed something outside of that, promotional like this will be down to what's in the contract, either by agreement or by going through the courts and letting the judge decide.
