A better round for Dickinson but I still have a shutout. These are unknown rounds for McCarthy. Never been passed 8.

I give Dickinson a share of the ninth. Well done to him for not getting dishearted and forcing McCarthy to work like he's never done for this win.

McCarthy showed fairly quick hands in counter and mixed a nice left hook to the body and head. On the downside, he looked one-paced and seemed uncomfortable taking the lead, which was noticable throughout the fight but most apparent when he dropped Dickinson yet hardly stepped on the gas.

He was one-paced because Dickinson couldn't knock him out of his stride at any stage. Sure he's more of a counter puncher than an attacking boxer - his awkwardness in going for the kill in round 6 clearly showed that - but you can't write him off in his ninth fight.

Mature performance from McCarthy,very composed,maybe too composed at times especially after scoring the KD but all in all impressive showing against an ex champ who still has a bit to offer,Tommy picks his shots well,doesnt waste much and throws a good variety of punches,throws well downstairs for a Cruiser and is naturally strong and compact

Fair play to Dickinson for showing his mettle in there tonight,i was screaming at the TV when the ref allowed it to continue after he was put down very heavily but give Jon Lewis his due he actually improved from the very next round onwards

Great showing from McCarthy in only his 9th fight

Benn slapping a bit there.

Benn doesn't impress me at all. Good speed and athleticism and fun to watch but very hittable and his power doesn't seem great. At the moment it's Benn's speed which is giving him the edge for me.

Keleher is one tough dude. Good to see Conor Benn not taking on an opponent who just falls over from the first good shot.

Benn wastes a lot of movement and slaps with many of his shots. Seeems to have good speed and I like the consistency to the body, but overall he looks like the fairly inexperienced fighter he is.

I want a fighter the will end up being a world level fighter to go with the hype. Even at this very early stage it's hard to see that with Benn.

A great learning fight for Conor Benn. You couldn't ask for more from a 19 year old.

He's pretty exciting to be fair, fast paced, takes a few and comes back with some more, good on him.

That wasnt a 40-36.
