I have to say I found Tyson more menacing after his jail release that at any other point of his career.

The sight of him slowly getting into the back of that limo still sends a shiver down me. It was like "He's out, he's angry, and you're all in deep shit."

they reckon the day he got out of prison (1995) he only weighed 13stone.
i am trying to find some photos of his release but cannot...
He looked well skinny compared to the 250 fatso who got locked up

Fear is a terrible thing. He was apparently shit scared when he was in jail, because there were plenty of bad motherfuckers who wanted to brag about kicking Mike Tyson's ass....

see what happened to Mitch Green, and he was a hard mutha himself

I don't know about that. There are guys who would bite your throat out, gouge out your eyes and shit.

Plus there are guys in jail who will just stab you to death with a home made shank.

He's got several world records for physical exercise, did 20,000 press ups non stop over a 20 hour period I think it was. Scary.

Once bent the reinforced steel cell door as well.

I saw a documentary about him, actually it was very sad. He was locked up on a firearms offence when he didn't even have a gun, and was pumped full of drugs in a mental hospital which sent him completely, bananas.

Apparently he was a very meek and nervous guy when he entered the prison system, which eventually turned him into a monster.

yeah total incarnceration to the point where he cant function in society, it is very sad, he spent something like 20+ years in solitary. Totally institutionlised now. ERven sadder hing is he knows this and has plainly said he doesnt really want to get out. At least he knows where he is and what he is doing inside he reckons. Very sad really when you think about it. The system has betrayed him as much as he has society. So who or what is worse?
He is very good at art, even though a lot of his pieces are err, how can we say it like a bad acid trip.

The thing is that Mr Bronson never really committed any serious crimes, most of his offences have been committed on the inside.

One of the prison guards was talking about him, they had him in a semi-open prison where he thrived, and the guard said he came out of his shell and became a model prisoner, and there was talk of him being allowed to see his son.

Suddenly the prison service moved him away, further away from his son, and bang went his progress. Terrible stuff.

Yeah, sadly people get so they just cannot cope with life on the outside any more, the lack of regimentation just fucks them up, and the fact they have pudendum all prospects except some sort of shite dead end job in the main must be very depressing indeed.

Ricky Womack. Holyfield proved he was the better man by licking him twice in the 1984 Olympic trials.

Yip you are right, they keep giving him the carrot then taking it away and then wonder why he goes ape shit.
They did a similar thing with his paintbrushes and paint, he went on a rampage and held a couple of inmates hostage. So they sent him back to solitary. Which made him worse then eventually he calms down, then he gets his paints, some crap misdemeanour happens so they take his art stuff away, then goes ape shit, then its solitary, then .....you get the picture.
tragic though it cant be denied the bloke is fornicating nuts.

Yes, I don't see Brian Sewell giving him a good write up any time soon, however, some of the pieces are quite interesting in a hellish Hieronimous Bosch type of way.

The old boy looks very tasty indeed.

Wouldnt it be great if he could win the title again.

It would be so good for both him and the game.

It wouldn't be that good. It might raise exposure of the sport for a few fights, but at the end of the day Tyson winning the title again would make him and the promoters a few big bucks, but would also make the heavyweight division look like a joke if some old codger was beating the best the world had to offer.

But saying that, this may be just coz I don't like Tyson. I probably wouldn't say the same if Holyfield won gold again, even though I've got as much chance of winning it as he has.
