He looks more like fury now a bit more bulk covering his muscle. It clearly works better and helps with energy and oxygen reserves.
I always though he looked gaunt before, he didn't look like a 12 round fighter.

I love me a bit of David Price, he seems like one of the legitimately nice guys in boxing. But can you really call somebody with a chin like his to be the complete fighter?

Just because he's a recent member, doesn't disqualify his opinion. On a personal note, I don't tend to pull people up when they refer to boxers as cowards because it such an obviously stupid thing to say. Plus there are so many of these idiots across forums... it's hardly worthwhile.

Remind me how many fights you've had Mimmy.
Im 47, been fighting all my life.
Life isnt full of sunshine and rainbows, its a mean and nasty place. If you have time on your hand ill tell you a little about life, death and the fcuking nasty bits in the middle.
Im not a professional sportsmans, but im allowed to have an opinion, I live in a country of free speech. Its as simple as that. If this was North Korea we wouldnt be having this conversation.
I will not be allowed to say Newcastle FC are chit because some bright spark will reply. How many goals have you scored Mimmy???
Nobody scrutinise the validity of another person's opinion. Because you're right, we might end up like North Korea. It's a slippery slope. The thin end of a totalitarian wedge.
No seriously. Don't even try to suggest that another person's opinion might be based on ignorance. That's a crackdown on our fundamental freedom of expression.
There's only way to stop this quasi-Stalinism that people like Cyril represent. I suggest the moderator bans all criticisms of other people's opinions. That way the good free-thinking people's of this forum will be protected.
And a golden age of democracy will be upon us!

I don't see anything bad here though. Seems a genuine opinion.

Heard he looked good.
I didn't see it as I was having sex, what was the opponent like?

The opponent was pretty crappy and looked a few inches shorter than his billed 6'4"....I imagine that any version of Price would've handled him like that.

The fight last 2 rounds Gomez, so I assume that includes the cigarette afterwards.

At what point was his opinion "disqualified"?
If you read subsequent posts from the same day the poster revealed his true identity.

I'm not sure how you think body fat is meant to help with oxygen reserves, nor how he has suddenly gained new stamina given this was a short blowout.
Price's problem was he was not able to take a clean shot without collapsing in a heap, and then following that fight, he was as tight as a drum in the rematch and subsequently against Teper.

Didn't think Price looked out of shape at all. Think his legs have added quite a lot of weight which I think is good.

Price looked to be carrying the weight on his middle, watching it. Not fat, but it was round the gut.
Frankly, I doubt it makes much odds. He can hit fornicating hard, but he ain't going to ever really take a shot, regardless of what he weighs.
Good ticket-seller for Callum Smith topping the bill in Liverpool, mind. He ain't conquering the world, but a big lad that can punch has never hurt ticket sales......

I didn't say you could see he had gained stamina. I was talking general - it is scientific fact that a slight fat reserve helps with anaerobic excersise.
Further to that price clearly did have a problem with stamina hence his failure in the Thompson rematch - he gassed. He also can't take a shot but that's by the by.

Because you made the point that he's been on the forum three whole days and already pulling the respect card. Which kinda suggests that if you're new to a forum you can't suggest someone should have more respect.

The bloke tried to throw punches and at least forced Price to cover up a couple of times.
What worried me is that even against this short tubby guy Price didn't maintain the distance. And he also went backwards in straight lines.
A lot of bad habits are still there.

Price always suffered from stamina issues....I just don't think he has a tank on him to go the 12 rounds. Hope I'm wrong as I genuinely thought he was the real deal pre Thompson

Thanks dixonian and loynesy.
So basically he 'looked good' against someone he was supposed to 'look good' against.
I've always been a fan the person, but the boxing side of things has really unraveled for him. Coldwell and him go way back to the Haymaker days, so maybe that will help - I just fear further disappointment awaits them and this is delaying the inevitable.

Me too.

Looked good against a Czech security guard who offered zero offence. Price has always looked part when there's nothing coming back at him, it's when someone actually fights back he has a problem

Exactly........he's the epitome of an on top fighter.
We already know that he's an impressive puncher who destroys journeymen like the Czech; those aren't going to be the types who expose the pronounced physical and psychological that are obviously there.

Actually for all the bloke's limitations, he actually did have a go. Sure, he had no power or threat but he didn't just stand back and wait to be hit and then go down at the first opportunity.
I know it's largely a moot point, but I respect plucky no-hopers.
