The Board do sanction shows abroad, Eubank Snr fighting abroad some years ago & Clinton Woods fought in Jersey a few years ago & these shows used British officials. As for Amir Khan being called up that just wont happen, it was mentioned a at a Board seminar years ago about unlicenced people being allowed to jump into the ring after his contests (namely members of The Khan Family) the person who put the question was told by none other than Robert Smith The General Secretary that they would allow this to go on as he put it Amir Khan was the future of British Boxing. Which goes to show if your face fits, one can do anything, which stinks of double standards.

Be interesting to know Robert Smith's views. If any double standards are being applied, then some clarification as to why this is happening would be useful.

It's the same people but BIBA is just for Britain and Ireland. And Pakistan just this once.

There is a BIBA promotion 19th June. There is a girl fighting who I have heard is supposed to be very good.

Luca Di Cario was a chief official for the Pakistan show as well, maybe he is jumping ship or they are ending MBC, as they could not get with the EBU.

Didnt you box yourself on a show that was unsanctioned in Malta on a spanish license ?

Besides the guys in question are on BIBA licenses not maltese.

It was on a Venzuelan license which I got for a previous fight in Spain, a license valid in Spain and Malta as well as the rest of Europe but not the UK.
I got it rather than a Spanish license because it was cheaper and most importantly valid.
