WAR ARREOLA

At short notice and given the other names in the WBC top fifteen, it's pretty much the only choice. I would rather see WIlder fight Arreola, than not see him fight at all.

The short answer is no. Considering the short notice and probably low purse offer, Arreola is probably the best name available. (If this fight is actually going to happen). I would rather see Wilder KO someone than sit doing nothing. Some guys here are like women, like something to bitch about. Someone needs to sew their dicks to their mouths so they can piss and moan at the same time. It could be worse, someone like Breazeale.

Breazeale at least looks good on paper and technically has a better record than Joshua. Arreola sucks both in the ring and on paper.

How does Breazeale technically have a better record than Anthony Joshua?

I voted "NO" but only on the grounds that there wasn't exactly much other option. He had to take a fight to keep busy and make use of a nearly complete training camp. Arreola won't put up much of a fight, his last few opponents haven't warranted him a shot at a title. That and the fact he is never really in top shape. I say Wilder wins by TKO in the 3rd. I will be surprised if it goes any longer.

I think he was one of the better options out there for a short notice, low paid fight. Wilder won't want to have wasted a training camp so it's better to stay busy and I reckon Arreola should give him a few rounds he has usually been fairly durable.

Two questions though: when does Arreola's suspension end and when does the WBC parachute him back into the rankings?

I wonder what the wadatests show up this time, I think they should find a few nanograms as well if they test like 3 or 4, or even more times. Somehow Wilder doesn't seem to be pushing it this time, for whatever reason.

As a late stand in YES & I think it will be a fun fight. Decent slug fest for 2 or 3 rounds (as long as it's not PPV)

Total waste of time. Might as well have a 2nd go at Charlie Z or fight "the worm" again.

Actually, Povetkin didn't fail the test at all, it's just Wada and Vada that don't know the details about meldonium and because of that need more time. It was Wilder who was begging for Wada/Vada, so if someone is to blame it's Wilder.

Thank you. Agree completely. Pot (which I don't think they should test for, but they do test for) stays in your fatty cells for about a month. If Arreola was toking and smoking while training for the Kauffman fight, there's no reason to believe that he hasn't been toking and smoking while he's been idle.

That was Chris's second failed test as well; his win over Ahunanya was overturned for the same reason.

Chris has a huge advantage over Sasha - he is way easier to beat. That criteria is a top one for Haymon fighters.

Wilder is a joke, a top 5 ranked guy approached? Who? Someone who's clearly scheduled already? Wilder and his team are obviously fuĺl of lies. Has he actually ever fought an unbeaten boxer in the boxrec top 100, or 200 at all?

Pretty sad a pro athlete can't refrain from getting high for 7-10 days. No reason for that to bother wilder, only affects the result if he loses.

Deontay Wilder says Chris Arreola is the 'perfect' opponent

Ok, so Wilder is getting criticized for fighting a stoner, a school teacher, and a French guy.

But Spilka wasn't a bad opponent and the French guy and school teacher won upset victories since Wilder stopped them.

We all want to see Wilder-Povetkin and no I don't think the cancellation was Wilder's fault.

I think Duhapas may be/have been a blacksmith, or something similar. I watched a short documentary on him and for his day job he was doing some type of work with metal.

I don't have much issue with it. This will be a "crack open a cold one and watch" type of fight. That's about it though.
