I wouldn't say terrible but definitely being overhyped, I'm still waiting to see what happens when he is really caught with a big punch from a big puncher. On the plus side he has all the physical tools, he appears to love to keep in shape and has confidence (which might change if he losses). I would have rather he had a few more learning fights before taking the title shot as he is still work in progress.

All offense and is getting used to having his own way. Fury boxes him to a points win right now. Haye is an interesting one

After his throws a massive right hand he swings it back in a very weird motion.Its the sort of shot he throws and finished an opponent but he missed it a fair few times Saturday night.
Personally can't say terrible only because the standard of current heavyweights is poor.
But if Breazeale made him miss like he did in the early rounds Tyson Fury could really embarrass him that's if he ever fights again.

I'm not going to sh*t on the guy, but there is certainly a lot to learn.
He's constantly drawing a crucifix with his punches - left, right, up and down - repeat.
Right now he's got to pull up those weak areas to match that speed and punching power, or he will out-boxed or out-hustled.

All the ones calling him out including Wlad whos sparred him and now wants him next after Fury. Joshua is the boxer NO ONE is ducking lol.

he is about as good as frank bruno was when he fought bonecrusher
and if he fought someone like bone crusher now he would get knocked out
he hit breazeale with numerous clean punches and couldnt budge him
and thats without breazeale hitting him atall
when he starts getting hit back on a regular basis
we will see what he is made of, if whyte can rock him it not good

Yeah I agree. I thought Joshua lost the final as well, although that was definitely a close fight which could have gone either way. But Savon beat him comfortably imo.

Good points. Joshua reminds me very much of Bruno, though I consider him slightly better, and faster.
And yes he is an intermediate (novice is too strong) - but he has only he one vaguely hard fight. Against a one armed Dillian Whyte who is at this stage British level. Breazeale showed great heart but had very little offensive skills. When he shadow boxed he looked awful and even missed the pads when warming up.
Joshua does seem quite easy to catch with a jab. But he hasn't yet faced any fighter within a half decent jab. Even Gary Cornish out jabbed him.

Certainly not terrible. But definitely overhyped. But whatever, he's making his money and so is Eddie and the casuals have bought into it. I can't blame Joshua or Hearn for that.
He hasn't been tested yet, I think he beats Wilder but not Wlad, Fury or Haye right now.

what wrong with KO'ing fighters all the big punchers did foreman, louis ,lewis and wlad all sparked out fighters joshua doesn't and he hasn't fought anyone in the top 10 yet ..... Bruno was doing the exact same thing till bonecrusher smith , you may disagree which you're entitled to but come across like a teenage girl arguing about justin bieber .

Have you actually seen Joshua fight? If he didn't spark out guys like Whyte, Love, Avila, Skelton, Gavern, what did he do to them exactly?
Or maybe you just think along the lines of the classic armchair fan 'Well, huh, but he wasn't...unconscious' Which is a ridiculous way to think about power as most refs will stop it before getting to that stage, particularly if a fighter has been decked already.

The idea Joshua lacks power, is one of the most laughable things I've ever read.
Every time he lands flush with a good hard shot, he hurts his opponents.

Ortiz could well have too many smarts for Joshua, if that fight gets made before father time catches up with Ortiz. Which it won't.
I would love to see it though. As it stands, if he has a chin, I think Ortiz is the only guy out there who can deal with Joshua.

Yeah, it's a shame Ortiz is so old, he looks great. Kind of like a harder punching bigger Witherspoon.
