Could Briggs slim down to Cruiserweight? and fight Haye for the title after he beats Bellew?
It would be funny if it was like Chisanda Mutti v Lee-Roy Murphy when they both flattened each other with simultaneous shots!ThereByTheGrace wrote:I want both of them to lose ! Couple of tossers!
Oh please, you gotta be jokingBitPlayer wrote:What if he fought Brian Minto instead?Stuarty30 wrote:Wether Haye fights Bellew or not he would still be the best name on AJs record and the biggest earner.Killer Blow wrote:If Haye actually fights Bellew there's no way he should even be allowed to face Joshua. It would be bum fight of the year hands down.

Isn't Oquendo supposed to be fighting Chagaev?expe wrote:Apparently he's fighting Chagaev for the WBA regular on allegedly in November, not Bellew or Briggs.
My point was when his best opponent's best win was Minto, you can't complain about one of his opponents fighting Bellew, but I quoted the wrong post.Muttley wrote:Oh please, you gotta be jokingBitPlayer wrote:What if he fought Brian Minto instead?Stuarty30 wrote:

I don't think Haye could get down to Cruiser. I think they're were talking about having a catchweight.mimmy123 wrote:Could Briggs slim down to Cruiserweight? and fight Haye for the title after he beats Bellew?
That was for the British title, not the IBF title.BitPlayer wrote:My point was when his best opponent's best win was Minto, you can't complain about one of his opponents fighting Bellew, but I quoted the wrong post.Muttley wrote:Oh please, you gotta be jokingBitPlayer wrote: What if he fought Brian Minto instead?

dont think many boxers care about their legacy these days, they just looking for big money fights to secure their future and who can blame them if they can get away with itkeirw wrote:Bellow would be a step backwards for Haye, not that he isn't a decent fighter (he is probably capable of knocking out Hayes last 2 opponents even as a cruiserweight),
but defeating a chubby cruiserweight will not set him up for the massive paydays he is craving.
There are plenty of overrated heavyweights with inflated records out there if he wants to just climb the rankings and make an easy few quid.
Are you out of your mind, go look at Briggs record.mimmy123 wrote:Could Briggs slim down to Cruiserweight? and fight Haye for the title after he beats Bellew?
Wouldn't mind that. Haye might even claw back some minor respect for that match up, shot and fat as Chagaev is, he is levels above Haye's recent opponents and roundabout the level of a Wilder or Femi opponentexpe wrote:Apparently he's fighting Chagaev for the WBA regular on allegedly in November, not Bellew or Briggs.
Is there an indication if it would be a home or away bout for haye ?expe wrote:Apparently he's fighting Chagaev for the WBA regular on allegedly in November, not Bellew or Briggs.
They both talk some pish but at least Bellend seems to be genuinely passionate whereas Haye is about as cynical a bullshitter as you'll ever find. Bellew was the only good thing in that shite Rocky movie and his last win was fantastic, so he has some goodwill from me. I can't even watch an interview with Haye these days: he's a slimy reality TV creep, a boxing Peter Stringfellow, a tasteless guy with money. He's incredibly dislikeable. I would love to see him smashed.Syntax Error wrote:I'd be rooting for Haye, not that he'd need my support, because it's a total mismatch in prospect.clopixolacuphase wrote:It's better than the Briggs fight in that I will actually want somebody to win.
Come on Tony.
I'll watch it in the pub, I suppose.
Bellow was bad enough before he won a 'world' title trinket, be he must now be bordering on insufferable as he can walk around Liverpool as if he owns it, calling himself a 'world champion'!![]()
Calling a guy who fights for a living a 'pussy' isn't right. He went to the lions den in a hostile environment and KO'd Mormeck and also fought Klitschko who was the main man at heavyweight. Hardly the actions of a 'pussy'. You may not like the guy, I'm not the biggest fan of him myself but to call him a 'pussy' is laughable.asdfjkl wrote:David Haye, biggest pussy in boxing, the UK version of Deontay Wilder. I'll fight Klitschko if you like, I'll even do it for half the price Haye did it for.Stuarty30 wrote:Calling a guy who fights for a living a 'pussy' isn't right.
