Hopefully, the fight will be streamed for 9.99
Who woulda thought there was so much money in this long standing rivalry?Beltane wrote:The way these two ancient denizens of the ring are going to act and ham up flogging their fight to the public in the upcoming months, it would be best to transfer this thread into the top one: "Oz boxers of the past..."
At least Barry wouldn't have to worry about Gangitano if they did.Tinnie wrote:Who woulda thought there was so much money in this long standing rivalry?Beltane wrote:The way these two ancient denizens of the ring are going to act and ham up flogging their fight to the public in the upcoming months, it would be best to transfer this thread into the top one: "Oz boxers of the past..."
Maybe Lester and Barry could ignite the old flames and get abord this gravy train. Ellis could go to Mick Gatto for financial backing and Barry could start baiting Lester saying he's started banging his mum again.
It'd be on for all money.
I think we all knew there would be a shite load of money involved. That's why it was always likely to happen, regardless of the sticking points that might arisen along the way.Tinnie wrote:Who woulda thought there was so much money in this long standing rivalry?Beltane wrote:The way these two ancient denizens of the ring are going to act and ham up flogging their fight to the public in the upcoming months, it would be best to transfer this thread into the top one: "Oz boxers of the past..."
Mundine needs bit more breathing space. Here are a few examples he needs to confirm.Like a Boss wrote:Danny Green said today he hopes his rematch with Anthony Mundine will take place before the end of this year.

Green and Mundine have agreed terms but are yet to set a date and venue.
Green said today he would love to fight Mundine in Melbourne, with Perth and Sydney also options.
Green, 43, will have to lose about 7kg to meet the expected catch weight of 83kg, while 41-year-old Mundine will try to add up to 10kg.
“We haven’t got a contract and we haven’t got a specific date or a specific city lined up as of yet, but we’ve agreed to terms,” Green said at a press conference Melbourne today.
“I needed to hear that from Mundine.
“Khoder said, ‘I’m not going to tell you any more, mate, you need to hear it from Mundine personally’.
“I needed to hear it come out of his mouth because, as we all know, he does speak a lot of bullshit.”
Green said he had overcome a nagging back complaint and was feeling fit ahead of the Watts fight.

What if just days before the scheduled bout Lester Ellis is kidnapped and held at ransom by Colombians. Then in order to save his investment and possibly the life of his new found friend, Mick Gatto bravely steps in to take on Barry himselfLike a Boss wrote:At least Barry wouldn't have to worry about Gangitano if they did.Tinnie wrote:Who woulda thought there was so much money in this long standing rivalry?Beltane wrote:The way these two ancient denizens of the ring are going to act and ham up flogging their fight to the public in the upcoming months, it would be best to transfer this thread into the top one: "Oz boxers of the past..."

Might pay to send that story-line in to Channel 9 mate. Could be another Underbelly series in it.Tinnie wrote:What if just days before the scheduled bout Lester Ellis is kidnapped and held at ransom by Colombians. Then in order to save his investment and possibly the life of his new found friend, Mick Gatto bravely steps in to take on Barry himselfLike a Boss wrote:At least Barry wouldn't have to worry about Gangitano if they did.Tinnie wrote:

If Watts somehow flukes it and starches Green you can bet your life I will be watching the replay.bogan whisperer wrote:Or watch replaysamwsnw wrote:Im sure the majority of those people bagging this fight will tune in one way or the other.
