Re: Haye avoided Briggs at Frampton fight - why?

Maybe he fights Billy Wright, which Haye will probably lose, but ok.
Haye always seems to like fighting the opponents that the public demand, except when the public demand that he fights someone that isn't clinically dead.PredatorHayds wrote:Anyone know what the public want? That's usually a good indication of who he's going to fight.
Bizzle doing the pre fight music and the worlds best light heavy/nightclub manager on the undercard also what the public demand.

Oh come on, Briggs KOed his opponend in the first round, while that same opponend Briggs fought, nearly went to distance with the guy Haye fought and Haye couldn't KO him in the first round. Many people even said that Gjergjaj actually took a dive against Haye.Syntax Error wrote:Haye always seems to like fighting the opponents that the public demand, except when the public demand that he fights someone that isn't clinically dead.PredatorHayds wrote:Anyone know what the public want? It was a pathetic fight for sure, it did look pretty suspicious to me the way he went down. I'm not saying he was paid to take a dive, but he certainly got himself out of there as quickly as possible once he was hit.asdfjkl wrote:Oh come on, Briggs KOed his opponend in the first round, while that same opponend Briggs fought, nearly went to distance with the guy Haye fought and Haye couldn't KO him in the first round. No, it isn't.asdfjkl wrote:^In other words, Briggs - Haye is a lot more competative as any other fight either of them has had recently and a lot more competative as many people seem to think.
Really?asdfjkl wrote:Oh come on, Briggs KOed his opponend in the first round, while that same opponend Briggs fought, nearly went to distance with the guy Haye fought and Haye couldn't KO him in the first round. Briggs probably asked for too much money, or Haye's in talks for a much bigger fight.gilgamesh wrote:As for Haye avoided Briggs. He probably didn't feel like getting yelled at by a maniac trying to get attention for 3 hours.
He doesn't want to be because he got scammed in the past, Haye hasn't signed anything either, in fact barely any boxer has.Syntax Error wrote:Really?asdfjkl wrote:Oh come on, Briggs KOed his opponend in the first round, while that same opponend Briggs fought, nearly went to distance with the guy Haye fought and Haye couldn't KO him in the first round. Which public demanded that he fight Briggs?
If you are right & Briggs is the real deal, then, why isn't the fight signed & sealed yet?
The first thing is obviously bullshit, Briggs even offered to fight for free against Wilder for example, but Wilder was too scared anyway, as expected.jamesmcdonnell wrote:Briggs probably asked for too much money, or Haye's in talks for a much bigger fight.gilgamesh wrote:As for Haye avoided Briggs. Briggs was blowing hot air when he made that offer to Wilder. Briggs is only in it for the money these days. That's why he's not trying to earn a title shot, just talk his way into one.asdfjkl wrote:The first thing is obviously bullshit, Briggs even offered to fight for free against Wilder for example, but Wilder was too scared anyway, as expected.jamesmcdonnell wrote:Briggs probably asked for too much money, or Haye's in talks for a much bigger fight.gilgamesh wrote:As for Haye avoided Briggs. At the time Wilder and his team said that they couldn't accept the fight because Briggs wasn't ranked in the top 15 by the WBC, but by fighting that junkie that he eventually asked to stop boxing because Wilder himself got injured and was about to lose, Wilder proved that the top 15 excuse was 100% bullshit, he and his team simply knew that Briggs had a very good chance to beat Deontay.
The second thing somehow can't be proven wrong yet, if AJ wants to fight another bum, Haye is the perfect target.
I worry for your sanity, I really do. Briggs is a blowhard, if you believe everything that comes out of his mouth, then you're a foolasdfjkl wrote:The first thing is obviously bullshit, Briggs even offered to fight for free against Wilder for example, but Wilder was too scared anyway, as expected.jamesmcdonnell wrote:Briggs probably asked for too much money, or Haye's in talks for a much bigger fight.gilgamesh wrote:As for Haye avoided Briggs. Because A.., any Haye-Briggs fight is strictly business -- it's not a fight and it stinks to the quasars.... And B.., Briggs goes into his tedious "Let's go Champ" dialog and it's so tiring and brain deadening that you'd rather dine on fried beets and aardvark meat with Sarah Palin and Tony Thompson.Like a Boss wrote:Assuming David Haye still intends fighting Shannon Briggs, why did he avoid him at the Frampton vs Santa Cruz fight?
Great photo opportunity went begging there.
Perhaps Haye has already abandoned the idea of fighting Briggs?
Exactly he avoided Briggs cos he's an annoying cock. What else would he do, make a beeline for a loud mouth tit whos going to shout and ball at him.gilgamesh wrote:As for Haye avoided Briggs. He probably didn't feel like getting yelled at by a maniac trying to get attention for 3 hours.
