Maybe he fights Billy Wright, which Haye will probably lose, but ok.

Anyone know what the public want? That's usually a good indication of who he's going to fight.

Bizzle doing the pre fight music and the worlds best light heavy/nightclub manager on the undercard also what the public demand.

WOBBLE WOBBLE

Haye always seems to like fighting the opponents that the public demand, except when the public demand that he fights someone that isn't clinically dead. :TU:

Oh come on, Briggs KOed his opponend in the first round, while that same opponend Briggs fought, nearly went to distance with the guy Haye fought and Haye couldn't KO him in the first round. Many people even said that Gjergjaj actually took a dive against Haye.

It was a pathetic fight for sure, it did look pretty suspicious to me the way he went down. I'm not saying he was paid to take a dive, but he certainly got himself out of there as quickly as possible once he was hit.

^In other words, Briggs - Haye is a lot more competative as any other fight either of them has had recently and a lot more competative as many people seem to think.

No, it isn't.

Christ, is briggs your boyfriend or something, I mean seriously, what is your obsession with the man. He's ancient, was never that good in the first place, has the stamina of a beached whale, and hasn't won a meaningful fight in near on a decade.

What is it that has you so convinced he's a massive threat?

Really? :oo

Which public demanded that he fight Briggs?

If you are right & Briggs is the real deal, then, why isn't the fight signed & sealed yet?

As for Haye avoided Briggs. He probably didn't feel like getting yelled at by a maniac trying to get attention for 3 hours.

Briggs probably asked for too much money, or Haye's in talks for a much bigger fight.

He doesn't want to be because he got scammed in the past, Haye hasn't signed anything either, in fact barely any boxer has.

Briggs simply hasn't been proven wrong yet, in fact, all fights he had simply prove him right, victories on whoever is in front of him is the only thing he achieves, usually by a first round KO.

The first thing is obviously bullshit, Briggs even offered to fight for free against Wilder for example, but Wilder was too scared anyway, as expected.
At the time Wilder and his team said that they couldn't accept the fight because Briggs wasn't ranked in the top 15 by the WBC, but by fighting that junkie that he eventually asked to stop boxing because Wilder himself got injured and was about to lose, Wilder proved that the top 15 excuse was 100% bullshit, he and his team simply knew that Briggs had a very good chance to beat Deontay.

The second thing somehow can't be proven wrong yet, if AJ wants to fight another bum, Haye is the perfect target.

Briggs was blowing hot air when he made that offer to Wilder. Briggs is only in it for the money these days. That's why he's not trying to earn a title shot, just talk his way into one.

I worry for your sanity, I really do. Briggs is a blowhard, if you believe everything that comes out of his mouth, then you're a fool

IMO he avoided the confrontation in order to prevent a dust up happening. He was alone, and Briggs would have gotten right up on him on that walkway, knowing Haye he would probably have stuck one on him, i personally think he wanted to prevent that from happening.

Was Haye commentating on the Frampton-Cruz fight? If yes, thats even more reason he would avoid a direct confrontation with an idiot like Briggs.

At least we now know the “real” reason why David Haye had delayed the announcement of his next fight, as his marriage is supposed to be “officially” over (in legal terms) later on today.

It seems highly-likely that David didn’t want half of his next fight purse to be included as part of his ex-wife’s divorce settlement.

I expect to see Haye’s next bout announced imminently, as he’ll almost certainly want to replenish his recently diminished personal wealth.

Like a Boss wrote:Assuming David Haye still intends fighting Shannon Briggs, why did he avoid him at the Frampton vs Santa Cruz fight?

Great photo opportunity went begging there.

Perhaps Haye has already abandoned the idea of fighting Briggs?
Because A.., any Haye-Briggs fight is strictly business -- it's not a fight and it stinks to the quasars.... And B.., Briggs goes into his tedious "Let's go Champ" dialog and it's so tiring and brain deadening that you'd rather dine on fried beets and aardvark meat with Sarah Palin and Tony Thompson.

Exactly he avoided Briggs cos he's an annoying cock. What else would he do, make a beeline for a loud mouth tit whos going to shout and ball at him.

If Haye fights Briggs next, great, if he doesnt, meh. Haye is doing his best to stay relevant, but he isnt really going to fight a top 10 guy to earn a shot. We all know this. Fury Haye is Klitchko wins rematch? Maybe. Haye AJ if AJ is downed by Parker?

It seems that BoxRec forum members don't really like to pay attention to the media, because I've already explained the answer to the question posed by the title of this thread... yet people prefer to be derogatory about a man making a common-sense decision.

I'm absolutely baffled about some of the things I read in this forum! :o
