That's uncanny, I was just reading about these fighters and suggested Jones vs McCrory on Horses 52 week challenge.

He hurt LSC early that stopped the volume being as much as usual.
Tactically Team Frampton had the gameplan perfect.
I've been a bit sceptical of the Shane Mcguigan praise until now.
Tactically 100% Saturday. A top level trainer IMO.

It has to be right up there as a modern era performance although I still think Honeyghan beating Curry was a tad better.

Couple of other notables; John H. Stracey winning in Mexico City against Jose Napoles was a huge win at the time and on reflection Calzaghe beating Hopkins needs rethinking considering that Hopkins was actually far from finished and would win big again.

Not such a significant fight in the great scheme of things and more of a personal choice....but Dennis Andries going down to Australia and stopping Harding in style in Melbourne was a great performance.

He was the only guy to stop Harding who was a block of granite and Dennis had lost the first bout.

Just one thing, don't overemphasise the moving up in weight thing. Because Santa Cruz used to compete in a division below Frampton's natural weight.

That said, really attractive, positive and exciting victory.
