British Title should be between the top 3/4 in the UK that hasnt moved past the title already.
Tyson, AJ and Hate are past the title.
Chisora, Price, Whyte and Hughie Fury should be the names in for it, if they reject move down the list.
After these you are getting into the Cornish, Sprott, Sexton and Lewison levels. These guys should have to beat at least another lower level Brit to qualify for a shot...

Why r people mentioning McDermott his not boxed in 3 years. Won English and never defended it.

Can't blame the board they have made fights. well sent them to purse bids. But the fights haven't happened. Board ordered Allen v sexton as a eliminator and English title last month. With Allen's loss that can't happen

I wouldn't have minded if Allen and Whyte contested the British at the weekend tbh but the board said no. To be fair they did order Whyte v Fury but Fury declined.

Not really but if he managed to beat Whyte it would've been fair game. I'd just much rather the title was being contested tbh. There's been talk of Whyte v Chisora. That's a decent British title fight. Or either of them v Price but God knows what's happening with Price just now. Can't see him going in with either Whyte or Chisora anytime soon.

Why would Price duck Whyte? If he can beat him then he might get a shot at Joshua.

If he can't beat Whyte then what can Price realistically achieve in boxing?

What else is he going to do? How is he going to get an easier shot at big opportunities than a Whyte fight?

Price needs to rebuild his confidence to beat anyone decent, and I don't think it'll happen sadly. In truth I don't think he should be boxing at all. All he's going to do is beat a load of journeyman then get knocked out quickly when he steps up.

The reason he wouldn't fight Whyte is because another quick knock out would pretty much end him, and I think that's pretty likely.

I think the loss of confidence thing with Price is overstated.

I don't think that Price was ever really very good and he was never very confident. He's lost when he's stepped up because he isn't good enough, not because he's lost confidence.

The guy can't even throw a competent jab. Can anyone explain why his jab is so bad? I'd expect better from a novice.

I'm with Horse on this one. Whyte would definitely be dangerous for Price, but it's the most winnable dangerous fight out there for him that would actually get him somewhere with a win.

I'm not disagreeing. If the Whyte fight presents itself to Price he should go for it. I just don't think he will. He'll probably spend the rest of the year knocking out fat Latvians.

I don't think he was ever great, but looking at older vs newer fights I think he confidence and thus his effectiveness really have dropped, he never looked that confident, but he looks a lot more nervious now being scared to commit to a punch at all, which is why I think his jab looks so bad, he sort of paws it rather than throwing it is the best I can put it, there's no force nor speed.

The guy is a complete mess. He's got to be one of the wimpiest prospects in boxing history.

How can a fighter be afraid of committing to a jab? A weak, ponderous jab just makes it more likely that he'll get countered.

He's making it more likely that he'll get knocked out. What's wrong with him?

He should be snapping out a strong jab through fear if nothing else, trying to keep his opponent off him.
