i'm saying cassimero :box:

he's no div. this is early days for edwards. ridicolous stage to be getting a world title shot.

what else is he supposed to do though but grab it with both hands..

but i'm saying cassimero has the beating of him :bag:

A lot of posters here seeing this clearly for Cassimero and at first sight I also felt the bookies had this one wrong and was weighing up a decent wager on Cassimero but I'm having second thoughts. Edwards is inexperienced as a pro but he has the amateur experience and is a good boxer. He is very fleet footed, Cassimero not so much, I wonder if he can just box at range all night, pick up the points and the title. I can see him piling up a lead and then hanging on while Cassimero chases the KO.

Keep hearing Edwards was a really good amateur...how'd he go at the Worlds, European's, Commonwealth, Olympics?

He was a good amateur, but hardly spectacular. Never made the Olympics, never won a major international event, and eliminated early in the Commonwealths and Worlds. Bronze at the Euros is good but not exactly an amazing feat.

My only bet of the night.

I've had £100 on Cassimero at 5/7 on Betfair.

Will cover my beer and the PPV :box:

Good luck bud. I''v got Cassimero and Haskins double at something like 2.4 on Paddy power. Stuck 125 quid on. Hopefully we're both quids in. Everyones made weight with no dramas anyway.

I read an interview with him and he certainly seemed very confident, although I got the sense the he was underestimating Casimero and downplaying his KO of Amnat, and that's something which may well backfire.

The height difference looked pretty big at the weigh-in, although I think that Edwards had shoes on while Casimero was barefoot. I wouldn't be surprised if Edwards outboxed him from length for a few rounds, but I think Casimero will eventually take over and show why he's beaten world class fighters.

They're the main reason I want him to get sparked.

I thought people might know something I didn't about either Cassimero not being what he's looked or Edwards being so much more. Thought it looked a big shout before reading this, confirmed now.

I don't bet but Casimero is tempting at those odds. People are mentioning Edwards height but I think this can make him more open to body shots which is Casimeros speciality.

I can understand people thinking Edwards is a bit of a p***k but if he wins legitimately he deserves credit.

Regarding the height, I've watched a few clips from the weigh-in and press conference the day before that, and Edwards is wearing shoes with a very large platform, so large that it makes me think he was wearing them specifically to get a boost. He's definitely taller, but I don't think the height difference will appear so great in the ring.

Edwards is been rushed here. Its too early and too big a step up. He looks very green to me but does show a potential. So why rush him? I dont see the rational of this match making at all.

Now, take from the source what you will, but a Fillipino guy on YouTube is claiming that the scores at the time of the stoppage were:

86-85 Edwards
85-85
88-83 Casimero

Fuckingg disgusting IF true
