I could just about imagine that Canelo vs Khan, but can't see it here.
Brook best price 10/1 to win by Dec/TD. I'd need to see 50s before I could justify having a bet on that.

I was thinking that, if he could keep him moving and pop him from angles, he could probably win. Although CEJ has improved, he's never going to get much better than he is now.

Andy Lee said it right when he said he'd be preparing for 6 hard rounds if he fought Golovkin. Coming in for a shoot out.

Brook might be doing the same.

His legs will go as soon as GGG lands. Brook will be in survival mode straight away after feeling the power in GGGs jab. Will be terrible imo. Brook holding and mauling desperately til GGG gets him out of there. I say round 4.

Right about the holding, Brooks only top level 'win' (which I thought was a loss ) featured a lot of holding.

It's the first time most will have seen him, so he'd better be sensational whatever happens.

The hope is that not making 147 will allow him to show something athletically he'd been inhibited from doing before. But then you worry if he's done 160 the right way.

He has the ability to use speed and angles to make Golovkin appear slow, especially early. But we know how methodical and purposeful Golovkin is, working his way into a fight. Slowing down the other guy. Brook will need huge reserves of energy and courage to draw on, to sustain the high level of boxing I know he's capable of.

I can't remember who imposes the limits, is it the sanctioning body, or the local commission?

That's not much of a chance, GGG has been hit square on by far bigger punchers than brook, with no discernable effect.

Any road to victory has a very slim chance however, whatever he tries to do, GGG is going to have the advantage. If he was a slick rangy speedster it would be a different matter, but brook isn't that sort of fighter, he fights with his feet planted and a wide stance. He's a very good little fighter is Brook, but he's just not at GGG's level technically.

Fair play to him though - you can call it foolhardy, or you can call it brave, but he's certainly got some guts to take on GGG.

pretty sure GGG wont dissapoint, god knows how brook is making the weight but i cant see him being any faster than he was at welter(wasnt that fast at welter), looks like prince naz is his dietician

I have a worry that Brook has lost something in terms of discipline, now that he's stopped having to make 147.

Real concerns that he isn't making 160 the right way, but hope I'm wrong.

Worried the weight he will be carrying is dead weight that will inhibit his movements.

Not good to see him with a fat face in every photo.

Like I say I think this fight was taken for the attractive deal(home adv and biggest payday) and the more comfortable training camp, and offered to him by hear to save face after issues putting together Golovkin withEubank Jr.

Hope I'm wrong in every way. Brook has to put in an epic performance.

So can we think of examples of UK fighters taking on lethal punchers? And doing well. especially at home.

How about Duke McKenzie v Gaby Canizales? Duke beat him so well that people criticised Canizales for being overrated or for not trying. GC had just destroyed the outstanding Miguel Lora to become champion.

There was also Billy Hardy's two fights with Orlando Canizales. When OC put his shots together he was a killer,or could be. Hardy did well enough to almost win the first at home and gave the champ some awkward moments in the Texas rematch before succumbing to the heat and the power punches.

Trying to think of a precedent, something to find a little hope and encouragement.

There's plenty of Super middleweights I wouldn't give much chance of beating GGG let alone Brook.

yeah, Curry was textbook, every punch seemed to have full leverage on it. Honeyghan's unorthodoxy really seemed to help that night. He was so quick,intuitive and unpredictable; he looked like even he didn't know what he was going to do next. Curry was bewildered and hurt.
