Hearn was just on about Joshua fighting Hughie Fury. Hughie Fury stepping out, and David Haye stepping in is a bit of a Quantum Leap.

You can question Haye's personality all you like, but to say the he isn't better than Shannon Briggs is an absurd statement. Or Breazeale.

His most impressive wins were against Ruiz and Chisora, who were both smaller than him. Currently all the heavyweight belt holders are all much much taller than Haye, which suggests he'd struggle to get hands on any belt.

Haye should just fight Briggs, and move up the rankings. There might be a big summer fight with Joshua on, but I don't fancy him winning. thinking either a Joshua blowout, or for Joshua to keep him off for 12 rounds and win on points.

Haye's only real chance with Joshua is to set a trap and catch him coming in, if Joshua keeps it long, Haye's feet won't be quick enough to get into range, just as he failed to do against Klitschko. I think the difference is, Joshua will want to finish it, rather than settle for a dull 12 round borefest.

The taller, stronger, younger, bigger hitting hungrier man wins this. If it happens. It's an obvious cash out for Haye, the only reason he came back, he isn't looking at a long career from here on in.

Valuev was also dogshit, and there was barely a shot landed in the round. That fight had almost nothing landed.

Wlad beat Haye with ease, using height and reach advantages, because unlike Valuev he wasn't as slow as shit through a funnel.

I agree, Haye saw an opportunity to make a last big payday. I doubt he imagines himself he is likely to win against Joshua, but figures he's got a chance, and will earn a fortune doing so.

He hasn't proven it, that's what I'm saying, you can't fight rank 150+ ish Mark de Mori and rank 50 ish Gjergjaj and then ignore the rank 38 Shannon Briggs? Especially not if you promised it. There are so many people who bought the ticket of last fight because of Shannon Briggs and now Haye is walking away with that money? Briggs hasn't been proven wrong since he got injured.

That's like Arreola not giving up out of himself after Wilder couldn't continue any more and then nobody from the top 50 ever fighting Wilder ever again? What else can Briggs do as winning against whoever is in front of him if every high ranked person is too scared to fight him? Ortiz had the same problem for a very very long time and now he turns out to be good.
