Looks made for the pro game this guy. Probably another fine British addition to 168. Doesn't look particularly big for a light heavy. Look forward to following his journey as a pro. As MightyWarrior said, there'll be a lot of interest from promoters. Hopefully he's got some sensible people around him and makes the right decision.

I look forward to a pretty spectacular run of tomato can blastings in his first year as a pro! Hopefully he knuckles down and learns the finer points of the game, as he's still too raw to go past mid-domestic level without improvement.

Definitely needs to focus more on his boxing than his power, did seem to become a little enamoured with his own power as the tournament went on, particularly the right cross. Not sure he could have done much to win last night, but could have made it rather more difficult had he thrown more shots, and worked to the body with both hands to stop his opponent scooting away.

Will be watching for him when he turns pro for sure.

Shame joyce is so old, liked what I saw of him too, but at 31, bit late for him to do a huge amount as a pro unless he gets off to a flyer.

31? not that old for a big heavy in this day and age - but you're right, he cant hang around

The Kazakh did everything right, dictating the distance, good feints causing Buatsi not to throw when he was in range, holding his glove in the face. He was clearly very wary of Josh's power, but Josh let him dictate the distance; should have closed better, particularly when the Kazakh was near the ropes; a bit of a step the the left coming in and a left hook might have changed the pace a bit. The only thing you can really complain about was the amount of holding the Kazakh guy was allowed to do in the 3rd.
