You may want to reevaluated Dunn now. Or is Cameron just no good now that Dunn has beaten him?bodyactive wrote:Lets get real here.Dunn is a small supermiddle and has been put down by middleweights like Bursak and cameron is a big super middleweight who is hungry.Iv watched most of dunns fights and he as been looked after.Hes a decent fighter but very beatable and Cameron as the tools to do it.
When he fought Blackledge that was a bad performance probably worsed he as ever performed bot they didnt want a rematch and British boxing is alot better standard so hope all the English who live in melbourne come to the show

"Zac Dunn def Liam Cameron UD (117-111, 116-112 AND 115-113)"
Possibly incorrect. Announcer focused way too much being Oz version of Michael Buffer & stuffed-up.
He announced it was Majority decision, then announced scores in this order 117/111, 115/113 & 116/112 without naming boxer nor corner. Therefore, it's possible 115/113 was for Cameron.
I'll have official results (score tally sheets) at some stage during the week.

Re: Zac Dunn gets Commonwealth title fight offer
If it's announced as a majority decision one judge must have gave a draw. If one judge has gone for Cameron, that would make it a split. That's right isn't it?AntonS wrote:"Zac Dunn def Liam Cameron UD (117-111, 116-112 AND 115-113)"

Re: Zac Dunn gets Commonwealth title fight offer
Yeah mate. Very few people including announcers know the difference between majority & split. In Victoria, recorder doesn't give announcer score tally sheet. He is given separate sheet (mug sheet) to make it easier for him, which could be subject to errors. I also get copy of them, along with score tally sheets & weigh-in sheet, but to date there's been no errors.
WA also does it, but only because recorder uses laptop to record scores after each round.
Less experienced announcers get touch nervous with MD & SD results, fearing they'll let the cat out of the bag, before spitting out 3rd score

Correct. It was Hammond and Sudnongbua who both lost their zeros on the same night. Hammond of course losing his Commonwealth title fight against George. My mistakecrusader wrote:That was Cameron's fifth lossLike a Boss wrote:Results :

Summary of Caparello's win against Torrez :
http://www.worldboxingnews.net/2016/11/ ... z-stoppage?
Caparello came out aggressively at the outset, throwing in combination. A barrage of punches felled Torrez hard, though he arose. Caparello followed through to land a right uppercut and straight left to put Torrez down again for good. The end came at the 2:45 mark of round one. Caparello improved to 24-2-1 (8 KOs), while Torrez fell to 26-8-1 (17 KOs) ending a six-fight winning streak.
"You've just seen the best super middleweight in the country," said Caparello to the fans in attendance. "I will keep working hard to regain my former status and secure another shot at a world championship."

Re: Zac Dunn gets Commonwealth title fight offer
All the reports of the fight I've read so far have it UD for Dunn.AntonS wrote:"Zac Dunn def Liam Cameron UD (117-111, 116-112 AND 115-113)"

But they probably all heard it from the same source, the 'Oz version of Michael Buffer', and he may well have mislead each and every one of them.
Re: Zac Dunn gets Commonwealth title fight offer
Had commentators & I scratching our heads & backside. In Boxrec I inserted MD but left out scores. Another editor has since edited to UD. I'll leave it at that 'til I see official paperwork. In the end, correct corner got the nod.
Thought Dunn wasted way too much energy on head shots, which was always well covered. Some got through, but in my opinion punch off a glove is not a clean punch, therefore not a scoring punch
Body combinations were excellent. Maybe his nick name should be "body snatcher" as was Darren Obah's around same age?
