1st judge gave all 3 for yoka and that was bad but the 2nd judge for me needs questioning as I don't see how there was any difference between round 1 and 3 yet he scored differently

Genuinely gutted for the big fella. He won that fight hands down no arguement. The first round was as clear a round as you'll see yet two scored it against him! He comes across a really nice guy and I'm sure he'll make a decent pro. Good luck to him but he should be Olympic champion tonight. That Yoka is a spawny big prick!

To be fair, Joshua is the last person who should be complaining about Olympic bias

Joe deserved the win. He clearly won first and third rounds.

I thought Nicola Adams was very very fortunate to get gifted the decision yesterday, I guess Joyce wasnt so lucky.

Olympic boxing is a farce anyways.

It's no big loss for Joe, as a Silver Medal winning Super Heavyweight he'll still be promoted heavily and given great opportunities by British promoters when he turns Pro.

Agreed, Amir Khan got a silver and got great opportunities.

He absolutely won the first and third round. The second one was close though.

He definitely got robbed, its not bias on my part. The commentators clear made out they thought he'd won round 1, the BBC live feed person couldn't believe he lost the first round, and the BBC radio guy couldn't believe anyone could give Yoka round 3.

He had him wobbled, he was clearly hurting him and the other guy was barely throwing any punches yet he'd win those rounds. Yeah absolute bs that one.

I thought that Joyce just had it (but that might be be being biased) and Nicola Adams could have gone either way although neither fight was a "robbery"

I wouldn't say Adams was gifted the decision, but there is a point here that once people become amateur boxing "royalty", they get the benefit of decisions in contests that are at least very close and in some cases that they have clearly lost. Yoka is (I believe) world champion, and it was as if he was given credit for that rather than the judges looking at what landed and what didn't. Similarly, Zou Shiming "won" an outrageous decision in the final in London 2012, and a questionable one in the semi too; Katie Taylor won her final at London 2012 when I thought her opponent had landed clear, clean punches that did not register; and so on. It's always gone on at the Olympics, whatever scoring system is used, unfortunately.

I wasnt impressed with Tony Yoka. Has to be one of the worst Olympic heavyweight champs.

Its a shame Joyce is a bit one dimensional. Comes forward, puts on the pressure, clubbing shots to the body, but all a bit samey and predictable. but what did Yoka do to win!? He spent much of the fight just covering up and occasionally getting the odd jab through Joyce's guard.

I thought Joyce edged it but thats Olympic boxing for you....

Looking back it wasn't a robbery but Joyce deserved it. Not much clean work from him. Most annoying thing is Yoka getting another gold this way. He seems a fvcking prick too. Should be an interesting addition to the paid ranks, assuming he turns over.

Yoka is a proper weapon. Got a gift there, hope they both turn over and Joe gets a chance at him.

Sorry to disagree but I thought Yoka won it fair and square. Not much quality punching from Joyce and all blows he takes are very clear.

I agree, it must be a tough choice between him and Clarke to represent GB, although Joyce has beaten Clarke a few times I can't help but feel that style-wise Clarke might be better suited to beat some opponents.
