I'd drop Reggie(underrated fighter, kudos for including him) and McCallum for tarver and Ruiz. Tarver has to be there, in a lot of ways that's his most impressive win to me. Actually I'd have Griffin too.

Pacquio was shot as well, and Castillo and De La Hoya were past their best. However, you have to count if you are going to count Holyfield's wins over Foreman and Holmes, Toney's win over Holyfield, Jones wins over McCallum, Trinidads win over Whitaker etc.,

Jose Luis Castillo was in his prime when he lost to PBF.

Oscar DeLaHoya was a little bit past his best years. But, we can't discount the weight and reach advantages were in Oscar's favor.

Big George was a dangerous opponent for The Real Deal, even at age 42.

I don't include the Sugar Shane win as something remarkable. Shane should have been calling it quits for years.

If the great Manny Pacquiao was shot when he fought Pretty Boy Floyd, then, was Floyd in his prime?

Shane's previous fight was the complete beat down if Margarito.floyd made a lot of guys 'shot'. Castillo was past his best? Alp is hysterical.

No Mayweather was not in his prime. He was closer to his than Pacquiao. Pacquiao had fought a ton of tough fights by then. He got knocked out three year previoulsy. He lost to Tim Bradley. He has not stopped anybody since 2009. This means he had not stopped anyone in 6 years before he fought Mayweather.
Glad that you at least realize that Mosley was way past his best. He fought Mayweather six years after he had lost to Winky Wright the second time. It was obvious in the Wright fights that he was declining.

We can talk about the titles won and the names that Mayweather has. Here is the bottom line: He has zero wins over fighters that were great at the time that Mayweather fought them.

If we want to just to have fun and name wins that is fine. As I mentioned, Hector Camacho has some big names.

I can or could agree with some of the things you have said here. But, to say in your bottom line that the great Floyd Mayweather, Jr had "zero wins" over fighters that were great at the time, I GOTTA DISAGREE!

But, to me, I don't quality that as one of his very best wins because he had all kinds of advantages of weight, reach and height. Marquez was really too small for him. But, Those are great wins to a lot of people.

PBF has beaten two guys in my view, that belong in the top 100 greatest pound per pound boxers of all-time: Juan Manuel Marquez and Manny Pacquiao.

The other fighters? They were good and great wins along the way, but, those guys were never top 100 all-time material.

You could make a slight case for Mosley and De La Hoya being Top 100 all time kinda fighters. I probably wouldn't have 'em there, but you could make a case for it.

I don't want to be funny, Kalan, but some fighters here don't belong post 1990 conversation.

That's true... But I think boxers from every era should be considered -- so this is obviously my all-time list... which includes some post 1990 guys as well.

I don't want to get into a long debate here but" VITALI DID NOT beat LENNOX.

What would or could of happened is no more than saying what would happen in Fury Wlad 2 if it ever happens.

Would Douglas beat Tyson if the corner had an enswell and ice pack.

Byrd beat Vitali because his body would let him finish the fight that's the way it goes.

Its been 13 years buts it time to let it go, no matter how you spin it Lennox Lewis the last great heavyweight of his generation beat the best heavyweight of this generation. Since 2003 no heavyweight has emerged as good as Lennox.

Any objective assessment of achievement would rate Lewis the best heavyweight since 1999.

You're right. They could be borderline. In some subjective personal lists, they could be included. In my view, they are not for the simple fact that there are too many borderline top guys in my view that didn't make it and deserve to be above the Oscars and the Sugar Shanes.
