Good list also.
The names are those I chose or contemplated choosing.
The sitting on the fence is quite baffling, I named 1fighter for each decade, obviously some people do not know the meaning of sitting on the fence.. :-?
I wrote other fighters who deserved a mention..there were alot I did not mention that deserved a mention also..Jackson,Langford,Booker and many more, but I chose boxers that everybody recognised in that era. :TU:

Steve Bunce said it the other night.
Ali was only liked towards the end of his career, now years later the rose tinted glasses really make things look like their a different colour.
Why is Ali so often given this sort of praise?
Sugar Ray Robinson or Joe Louis is my choice and if you asked an oldtime boxing fan in the 50-60`s day they may have said Ketchel, either way Ali does not deserve it.[/quote]

i think i know that your trying to say,
i agree to some point, i have a opinion of ali, he was very self serving,
he is a icon no doubt, a great boxer, a true personality, but i question his actions, it was a different time then, yes, but, how he did frazier and his ex-wifes was wrong, and it leads me to believe he did alot of his
"take a stand" on issues, for his own attention and self serving, rather than on belief, possably i wrong, but joe lewis is a bigger hero to me, he did everything right and still got the short end of the stick,
but he stood on principal and belief not because it had him famous but because it was the right thing to do
its like comparing malcolm x to martin luther king
or pat tillman to the drug smoking football player who rather move to jamica and smoke weed....what ever his name is???
see the difference?????
just my opinion, sorry... ill get off my soap box now......
