Eddie just answered you question. He had been 167 at the fight night.MightyWarrior wrote:can someone remind me, what was Brooks usual weight on fight night when he was at 147 ?
How many times does he metion i thought it was a fan ,, did'nt relize i was that big in America... Did Eddie become a boxer and not tell anyone ,, Fans for a promoter for fornicate sake He really does fancy himself , he's just a snake oil salesman who's rich daddy set him upTarkus wrote:Eddie just answered you question. He also claims that he will be same 167 against GGG. That is in contrast to what Ingle said earlier that Brook will be stone heavier. So I suppose truth is somewhere in between. Brook will be within 170-175.

Im getting the word..........nonce
It's not a body-buiding competition. Brook looked razor-sharp at the open workout.
Bodyshape and especially bodyshape changes are a massive indicator to shape. Banging pads without being pressured for a few minutes at an open workout is not showing what he has in a fight environment , under pressure and when extended.BigDoofus wrote:It's not a body-buiding competition. I thought a big part of getting into the right mindset for a fight was living a spartan life and sacrificing your normal creature comforts so that when fight time comes all the hardship you've suffered in camp is focused on your opponent and you can't wait to get at the man who's taken you away from your family for 2 months and caused you to feel literally hungry for weeks
does any of this modern scientific ever really make a difference do u think? Granted I'm a dinosaur, but you can't beat the basics IMO. The rest just seems like fluff that boosts the fighter mentally a littletobyh5 wrote:CaptainSpacerod wrote:He talks a lot in the video about how relaxed he is at not having to boil down and how nice it is to be able to stay at home with the family etc.

I noticed in another video they were simulating training at altitude through a tent training situation. They said he was simulating training at 500 metres higher than GGG was at Big Bear. Am I being stupid here, but running in a tent for ten minutes is not the same as GGG LIVING at altitude. Even pushing a fecking shite out at altitude is taxing and adapting his body. All day every day, sleep, awake, walking, talking, scratching, everything is at altitude. Ten minutes in a tent cannot be close to matching that.
That is my feeling too. Sugar Ray Robinson just got in the gym and grafted and I think we know what would happen if you threw him in with BrookStevieb8006 wrote:does any of this modern scientific ever really make a difference do u think? He certainly didn't look fat, which you keep claiming he is.tobyh5 wrote: Bodyshape and especially bodyshape changes are a massive indicator to shape. Come on man, pretty basic stuff isnt it.
I may be into bodybuilding, but I am into boxing first and just because I use knowledge that has come from bodybuilding and physique and how they work, does not mean I think it is bodybuilding mate.
I said he is carrying more bodyfat which is different and is better hydrated, not muscle gained. His face looks fat though which is a demonstration of his extra bodyfat. Extra bodyfat and being fat are not the same thing.BigDoofus wrote:He certainly didn't look fat, which you keep claiming he is.tobyh5 wrote: Bodyshape and especially bodyshape changes are a massive indicator to shape. By your average man standards he is lean. In relative terms compared to his usual physical condition on fight night he is fat. He is carrying an extra 5% body fat I'd guess.BigDoofus wrote:He certainly didn't look fat, which you keep claiming he is.tobyh5 wrote: Bodyshape and especially bodyshape changes are a massive indicator to shape. But he killed himself to make Welterweight which would have had hindered him the same...... it must be better for him to be at a more healthy natural weightSupremo wrote:By your average man standards he is lean. When a fighter carries extra weight they haven't got used to then their footwork and everything else is hindered.
5% extra body fat?Supremo wrote:

Hearn claims that he will get in the ring at about the same weight that he usually does.
