Next please...
What exactly is Billy Joe Saunders gonna do if he gets in the ring with Golovkin except get knocked out? He'd be spending most of the fight in retreat against Golovkin.StrapMeUp wrote:Like a Boss wrote:36-0StrapMeUp wrote:Kell Brook beats the odds Shades of B-Hop vs Tarver

Next please...Just wait till Billy Hoe Saunders gets his hands on GGG. Whoops I mean Joe
The fact he was at the weigh in showed he wasn't suffering from the flu. People often think the flu is a bad cold, or sometimes call norovirus stomach flu, but believe me if he had the flu, actual influenza, the fight wouldn't have been on. Flu is a killer unless you're fit enough and even then you're off your feet for a few days.Tanzio wrote:3G confirmed during the post fight interview that he was not suffering from the flu or anything else. He was fine. my observations of the weigh-in were inaccurrate.
I didn't say he had the flu. I said he looked out of character and somewhat emaciated.TheDarkDestroyer wrote:The fact he was at the weigh in showed he wasn't suffering from the flu. I know, I'm just saying as the thread starter was adament he had the flu. You'll know that if you've ever had the flu, the difference between that and being under the weather is vast.Tanzio wrote:I didn't say he had the flu. Spanish Flu. I've read about it, not sure what you've brought it up for though.x2x wrote:75 million people died of the flu in the influenza pandemic of 1918-1920. I'm with you, Spanish flu was actually unusual in that it killed younger healthier people than what flu usually does. It played havoc on healthy immune systems.x2x wrote:TheDarkDestroyer wrote: Spanish Flu. I've read about it, not sure what you've brought it up for though.
I thought some people were equating the flu with the common cold or just "being under the weather".

Yes. 'They' being conspiracy theorists.x2x wrote:TheDarkDestroyer wrote:I'm with you, Spanish flu was actually unusual in that it killed younger healthier people than what flu usually does. It played havoc on healthy immune systems.x2x wrote:

It started amongst the soldiers that were being discharged from "the great war" - "the war to end all wars", as they billed it to the canon fodder. The war to end western civilization is more like it. The Spanish Flu killed more people than any plague since the Black Death in the middle ages, tho the latter killed a much higher percentage of the world's population. I'm afraid I'm going off on a tangent tho...
Interesting: They think it was actually caused by vaccinations!
