I had it 10-2 Usyk

Sure, he didn't hurt Glowacki, but did he really need to? Obviously his KO rate was inflated by his opposition, but he stepped up after 9 fights and outclassed a good champion, arguably the number 1 guy in the division going into the bout.

I guess you are one of those people. Usyk just dominated a top 3 Cruiserweight with ease. Floyd did the same to many people. It's the same thing.
Lebedev would tap that ass.
I dunno..,...I was doubting Usyk in this fight, but he won easily against a good fighter. His style doesn't always looks great and he's a bit of an arm puncher, but I'm thinking he has a great chance of outboxing Lebedev.

You are just a hater and that is fine because I hated Floyd and his pot shotting self at the end of his career but at least I'm not a hypocrite and admitted when Floyd dominated in fights. I had no dog in this fight but I clearly saw that Usyk dominated and was impressive. Lebedev will be beaten just as easily.

He's supposed to be this elite talent and he's got a 100% KO ratio and yet he's barely hurt Glowacki in the fight. Cunningham was out boxing Glowacki for large portions of their fight but kept getting dropped. Usyk's style is also boring as hell.
Who has KO'd Glowacki? Usyk gave Glowacki a boxing lesson. Won 11 out of 12 rounds. That is impressive to me.

I hope you are not one of those people who enjoyed Floyd but find Usyk boring.
:TU:
That was class boxing. Usyk has great footwork for a big guy and a nice jab.

Nobody has done that to Lebedev except a drug filled Jones and Lebedev was still throwing.

You're being ridiculous. A person should be able to appreciate Mayweather, Ward, Hopkins, Wlad, and Usyk; or none of the above. Either you like effective, boring bullsh*t, or you don't. If you like some of them and not others, it most likely comes down to racial / nationalistic biases.

Btw, Glowacki was the stone cold #1 cruiserweight. He is better than Lebedev, and Usyk would beat Lebedev. It is also apparent that if Usyk did beat Lebedev, you would basically act the same way that you are acting today -- "I'm not impressed. He won't impress me until he crosses the next hurdle. Nothing is ever enough. I get bored by non-Americans with boring styles, but Americans are completely different."

Say that to everyone else that was supposed to beat him. In truth he should be undefeated. He beat Huck in Germany but wasn't given the decision and then his face was mangled by a drug cheat who weighed about 30 lbs more than him on the night.

I can't take that whole drug cheat thing seriously.

There's just no way Lebedev could outbox Usyk. The guy is too slick and too skillful. It would be 119-109 or something like that.

I seem to remember Glowacki knocking out Huck. Then he soundly beat Steve Cunningham as well. The only real meaningful achievement on Lebedev's resume is that time he lost to Huck, a.k.a. the guy that Glowacki knocked out. Lebedev's other opponents like Kayode, Ramirez, Kolodziej, Alexeev, etc. were really not world class or anything particularly close to world class, and just carry no weight in comparison to a KO win over Huck, a loss to Huck, etc.. Lebedev's resume has actual 0 key wins on it, unless you count the loss to Huck, which Glowacki has a clearly better achievement of his own. Even if Lebedev were precisely Glowacki's equal, or a hair better, then Usyk would just beat him 118-110 or 117-111.

Now let's compare Usyk's resume to Lebedev's. Usyk has a dominant win over Glowacki. Lebedev's best win was his loss to Huck. Even if Lebedev unofficially beat Huck, that puts Huck in a class clearly below Glowacki and Lebedev. Not to mention that even if Lebedev beat Huck, it wasn't an utter domination. Usyk's best win (a domination against a Glowacki / Lebedev tier opponent) is just unbelievably in a better class than Lebedev's best loss/win (an unofficial narrow win over a Huck tier opponent).

Lededev was very unfortunate not to get the decision over Huck though. Glowacki had to come from behind to beat Huck, whereas Lebedev never should've never even been behind.

That said, after today I am thinking that Usyk outboxes Dennis.

Ah so you're basing it off a loss that Lebedev had 6 years ago in a fight he should have got the decision in when he was fighting Huck in Germany. Since that fight Huck won a debateable decision over a 50 odd year old Arslan, Drew with Afolabi, etc. Huck was never that amazing to begin with and has a style that accumulates a lot of wear and tear. I bet if Lebedev was to fight him now he'd also stop Huck.

That's fair enough if you believe the latter would happen. Atleast you acknowledge that Lebedev was screwed over against Huck aswell.

What could he do to overly impress? With just 9 fights he went to the backyard of arguably #1 guy (at no worse top 3) and won about 10 rounds without ever being ruffled...how many others have done that recently? He can look a bit awkward at times and didn't put on the most entertaining show, but considering how he outclassed Glowacki he is no doubt very effective.

I think it's a personal preference thing aswell. Like you say, he's got that awkward looking, herky jerky style and I think at times he moves just for the sake of moving rather than for necessity.

As you know I'm not Golovkins biggest fan either (although I do believe he beats every middleweight out there and would also stop Canelo). I prefer the more hit and not be hit types generally which is why Golovkin isn't my favourite fighter. However he as shown against Stevens and Lemieux that he can box more like that. However I guess he's had to be more aggressive to a large extent to try and build a fanbase in the US and make good money which is understandable to be fair.

Regarding Usyk though, if he was to beat my god Lebedev I'd give him his due credit though and rightly bestow upon him that great honour :OhYes:

I don't see how you can expect a prospect to get "exposed" in a huge step up and give virtually no credit after he dominates. That kind of stubbornness is foreign to me.

Lebedev needs to beat Gassiev first, and then (if he wins) he will likely have to face a WBA mandatory. Usyk will likely want to take advantage of a soft voluntary defense first.
