He can definitely make 160. You can see it at his last 2 weigh ins. He must literally be killing himself to make 155 and 154. Had to strip naked. He must walk around at 180 or even more. Must eat a lot of fajitas or something.

The reason he announced to leave 154 is (probably) that he knows he can't make weight with Wada testing on.

Smith gave him carte blanche to take his title when he accepted no WADA.

He won't be the face of boxing for too much longer. In 6 to 12 months its a toss up between GGG and Anthony Joshua if they get some quality opposition wins. Anyway thats just my opinion and is speculation. I do actually think Canelo has a chin and its because of genetics. I always bang on about it but that C%$t has a thick, thick neck. Who knows how much pain he can take mentally, but physically your going to need to have a very decent punch to impact that neck. His neck and body is both an advantage and disadvantage, he's so low so can do better against opponents that are 5 foot 9, 10, 11. but i'd like to see him fight a good 6 foot boxer puncher like a Charlo.

I can't quite get my head round Canelo's size. When he fought Mayweather they had those press shots where they were head to head in bare feet and apart from his stupid fornicating quiff Canelo looked shorter than Floyd, so the kid must be about 5'7"

But then you see him in the ring and he's like a tank. He's so much bigger than people it's shocking. I think he must be on horse steroids or something. I guess there has been a fair few very short fighters at higher weights, some 5'6-5'8 range guys all the way up to cruiser who have done well. I just think when he has to start fighting tall rangey lads he's going to be fucked. Big MW's, like a Hopkins or a Pavlik. He'd be in a world of trouble.

These guys has naturally so much muscle for a small frame that they had horrible stamina after the middle mark, and ran out of gaz.

They were more suited for weightlifting than boxing.

The Mayweather fight didn't take place in a stadium. It was at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, which has been filled many times.

The Trout fight didn't set any records. Firstly, the attendance wasn't even in the top ten sporting attendances for that stadium. Secondly, if you're talking about attendance records for boxing in the Alamodome, then you're wrong. 39,247 people were there to witness the fight. Chavez-Whitaker brought in 58,891 people. Having almost 20,000 people less attend a fight is not a record. No way, no how.

Canelo-Kirkland set a record when 31,588 people attended the fight, but as it's the only boxing bill held at the venue, so it set a record, it didn't break a record, which is what you originally said.

Various barometers can be used to measure "record breaking" stadium achievements, not solely the amount of cheeks on seats.

Yep, it's a certainly that Canelo's listed height of 5'9" is inaccurate - my best guess for him would be 5'7.5", as he appeared only marginally shorter than the 5'8" Mayweather and marginally taller than the 5'7" Cotto, and clearly shorter than 5'8.5" Khan. His shortness could be used as an advantage if he fought low and had a style more like Chavez Jr, but he doesn't, so like you I see him having difficulty with taller middleweights. I'd favour Daniel Jacobs to beat him, for instance.
