Agreed on both counts.

I think Hughie can make it to the top he's very young and has lots of technical ability. Right now though he isn't ready.

Well for one hopefully he will mature mentally. I watched his last fight and he was all but sulking, claimed he didn't feel great and his body language had negative written all over it.

Mentally and emotionally he needs to mature.

Mature mentally, develop a bit more pop to his punches. He's only like 21, other boxers like Liam Smith didn't develop a decent punch until they got older (his KO record was dreadful early on, now he banged out 9 opponents on the trot before facing Canelo and hit him with some decent shots), get some more experience against solid Euro level opponents and fringe contenders. Get dragged into a war against some tough bastard since so far, Hughie has been winning pretty comfortably. He needs to fight a tough, aggressive bastard.

His punch power is not going to magically improve.

No idea about how true it is, but Hearn is talking about Parker. That'd be a quick turnaround for Parker if so.

Liam Smith's did. Look at his KO record in the early stage of his career when he was in his early 20s. It was shocking but once he got a bit older, filled out a bit he became a pretty decent puncher. First 16 fights, he only won 5 by KO.

liam smiths opposition got worse after the Ochieng fight. The opponents Frank got him were dire ie he was 1/200 with bookies.

He's fought shit but that's a bit harsh. Other than a few exceptions, most of his opponents would beat Ochieng.
