Always thought he was a promotional gimmick first, boxer second.

You'll probably see him on the next series of Big Brother or Celebrity Love Island etc introduced as a "former star boxer".

He can then compete with Anthony Ogogogogogo for the chavs attention.

Yeah my motivation for training is pretty high at the moment, but after 4 months or so it does drop a bit. After a while you get sick of it as well as the dieting. It's only natural to, like everything. RR has been training none stop since being a baby, none stop! Must be sick of it.

Yeh it's a shame, I do feel sorry for all young boxers having to go round their mates and family bugging them to come and shell out fairly big money for the tickets. Even worse if the lad has been brought up isolated a bit by his dad.
His dad was , allegedly, a bit of a barn pot and loose cannon. Certainly didn't do his son any favours with WABA anyway.

On the issue of selling tickets. When Tom Do ran came out of retirement he was booked on a show around early December but told 3 days before his fight was cancelled as he hadn't sold enough tickets!! He was days from jacking the sport for good when offer of spot on prize fighter came , he took it and rest is history

I imagine Romeo is a like a welsh tarzan nowadays.

Swinging through his local forest on a vine, wearing a loin cloth.

Hehe, swinging through the forests of South Wales, terrorising the wood pigeons and locals.

Judging by Facebook, him and his dad are pretty much enemies.

A mate done a group visit to a gym where they could watch Romeo train and ask some questions. I facetiously asked him what his dad had to say in reply and he looked at me and said 'how did you know his dad answered most of the questions?'

Not for me/us to judge but I have several stories of a similar ilk some of which have it seems, contributed to career blips.

His old man is cuckoo and made him and his sisters train like trojans. As soon as they were old enough they all rebelled; from memory one of his sisters went to the Commonwealth as a gymnast and did pretty well

He always had a smile but with sad eyes. He had obvious talent... good luck to the kid - hopefully he's a little bit happier.

Shame.

Angel I believe it was got a bronze in the team. Her and her sister are extremely talented. Seemingly Romeo was very good as well. I hear he is doing some kind of outdoor for camp thing

Yeah I remember him - I am sure his dad was giving him special vitamins.

I read an article about him last year, he looks like a normal lad these days and you wouldn't guess who he was (I think he might have had a fall out with his family as well)

Really?

:o

Used to see them both down the gym all the time. To be fair, Romeo's dad was the most friendliest bloke in there. Always smiling and chatty.
