I've always believed that Ward would beat Kovalev and won't change my mind anytime soon. Won't be sorry if I'm wrong though - Kovalev is a million times better to watch and I'll be rooting for him. But Ward on points in a boring fight is most likely outcome for me.

I'll say for about the 8th time that its a closer fight to call than the extreme partisans on either side would have it. In almost every case, those who strongly assert X or Y is going to win, no way X or Y can win, have personal biases that are pretty obvious. Neither man winning would surprise me.

B Hop went 12 rounds with Kov. Caparello dropped Kov.

Ward is gonna be just fine. UD in an anti climatic Ward paced fight.

Caparello didn't drop Kovalev. Sergey lost balance/tripped. Not very good balance is one of his drawbacks compared to Golovkin.

BHop went into a shell and had no chances to win. Ward could try to do the same thing, but what's the point? Besides, he doesn't have Bernard's chin.

So with that logic, Kovalev's bad balance is going to beat Andre Ward? That's one of the God Damn dumbest things uttered yet even for a nuthugger. Fantasy time will be over soon thankfully.

And in Ward's last fight he failed to stop little, old Alex Brand. Before that he failed to stop Barrera (who had been down before), and even blown up Paul Smith went into the 9th without going down.We've also seen Edwin get flattened by Williams and badly hurt by Mike Seals, yet Ward hardly budged him, and guys like Miranda and Green have been down several times, yet lasted the distance against Ward without going down or being seriously hurt. The only stoppage Ward's gotten against a top 10 opponent was over fragile, drained Dawson, who one fight later was stopped by the first good shot Stevenson landed.

So plenty to suggest that Ward wins by decision (my pick), but not so much to suggest that he scores a stoppage. He is content to coast when dominating, and even if he's finding the mark easily I doubt that he pushes for a finish.

I think he's going to put on a display. He's completely motivated and we will see his best ever performance. Decision is the logical pick, but I think his accuracy will force a stoppage.

Kovalev won't paste Ward first off. kovalev will be lucky to win 4 rounds in a one sided anti climatic fight. Ward has so many ways he can win this fight, Kovalev will more than likely have to score multiple knock downs or get a knock out to win and that's pretty damn unlikely. With that being said, who ever wins deserves the #1 spot an d a don't feel GGG is the #1 P4P to begin with.
