Similar level to Bruno really but you'd have to have your money on Frank I think. Bruno had a decent jab when he used it. Certainly gave Lewis some trouble with it.

I do wonder about big Enzos mental health moving forward. Some devasting KO's in those 8. I'd say the Frenkel hiding was the most brutal one.

On the topic of Gary Mason I think we may have been selling him a bit short.

Mason has a KO5 win over James Tillis (Holyfield KO'd him in 5 in the fight before that and Bruno KO'd him in 5 the year before. Tyson went the distance with him a year before that)

He also KO'd Tyrell Biggs in 7 rounds, the same round Tyson did 2 years earlier and a round quicker than Bowe did two years later

That's world level form to an extent? Tillis and Biggs would have definitely been in the top 20 I'd say. Although I'm not sure exactly how the rankings were back in those times.

Wasn't one of them an olympic gold medalist? I recall Tyson lost to the guy in the olympic trials and then banged him out as a pro. I seem to remember it was a second round stoppage though.

I didn't know that he'd not fought again, wonder if it is directly linked to that KO.

I was at that fight, sat a fair distance from the ring and even I could see the fight should have been stopped, Enzo was all over the place. No idea what the ref was thinking.

Honeyghun did lose by decision, but not a 12 round decision.

Who knows, he had depression and motivation issues, but I can't help but think that such a sickening KO might also have factored into it if he was already considering giving up the sport.

Forgot how violent it was. I can't believe ref let it go on after 1st kd. Both kd's were as bad as Wayne Alexander's exorcist Ko of Tak

I'd have picked Mason, more durable than Bruno, and better under pressure, had survival instincts, didn't hit quite as hard as Bruno, but was certainly no slouch.

Think he'd have gotten to frank and given him a hiding after the early running going to Frank.

Met him once in the Windmill in Clapham - had the biggest head I think I've ever seen in the flesh, was like a bull mastiff.
