Bellew, who has been the WBC champion since May, harbours ambitions of a unification fight next, taking on Denis Lebedev.

'I might have to bypass Denis Lebedev and the dream of being undisputed unified champion, and just go for it and try to be heavyweight champ - I think it sounds a bit better to be honest.

IMO, Lebedev will do worse than Haye.. Guys an ugly machine.
If he's talking about fighting lebedev it's because he's shit scared of his mandatory!!! MARIS BRIEDIS! Why he never mentions BRIEDIS should say it all really, he's trying to fight anyone except his mandatory. Says a lot about the Latvian in my opinion. He'd crush Bellew and probably lebedev too!

I don't think Bellew is scared of anybody. Breidis is unproven and could be just another Kudryashov kind fighter.

ORR!! He's being a big man calling out someone he knows he will not fight in the next 6 months. Lebedev has a fight with Gassiev and then a mandatory as far as I know.. Just makes him look good.

Kudryashov didn't put a 245lb man to sleep with one punch.

Bellew has been cntradicting himself so much these past couple of weeks it's just getting silly.

Briedis is significantly better than Kud (faster with his hands and legs, more fluid, can lead and counter rather than just lead, etc.) and had no problems taking the kind of shots that Durodola stopped Kud with.

He can be caught, especially with right hands, but to my knowledge has never been dropped or seriously hurt.

To my knowledge, he has only fought one decent opponent ...

He easily took shots from a good puncher who leveled Kud in 2 rounds and he's been in with a heavyweight fringe contender who was much bigger. Besides, loads of fighters with durability issues get hurt before stepping up and fighting tough opposition, and I don't think that's happened to Briedis (Kud had been down before).
