SA’s Sport and Tourism Minister Leon Bignell refused to say how much the State paid to promoters to bring the fight to Adelaide but industry sources believe it was in the order of $500,000 based on the SA Government’s claim it would realise $4 million in economic benefits.
Adelaide Oval will be configured to accommodate at least 37,000 people for the Green-Mundine bout.
It is understood WA’s bid proposed to hold the fight at the 14,000-seat Perth Arena.

Almost inevitable this will be a sell out. Just a matter of how long it takes to sell all the tickets.amwsnw wrote:The Cat 4 seats looked like the best value for money however the majority have sold - only leaving single seats. When i looked on the accommodation sites as soon as this fight was announced many were booked out, or had one room remaining. I think this may be bigger than many are anticipating.
I wasnt even aware Perth had put up a bid. The govt here has been anti boxing and any other combat sport for as long as i can remember.
What advantages did Green have in the first fight? The fight was held in Mundine's home state for starters.Lairdy wrote:Should be a good fight now that Green has even more advantages than the last fight. Although, if Choc is fully fit, he should still win well.

So if team Mundine start coming out with "we don't have the judges" again, this time they could be right on the moneyAntonS wrote:There will be no judging this time. There's no judges in Adelaide atm
The only thing I can think of is amateur experience selected for 1998 com games, represented Australia in the 2000 Olympics etc. whereas Mundine had zero amateur experience.Redback Rasta wrote:What advantages did Green have in the first fight? safe to say Green had an advantage in experience.
Amatuer experience, height, size... Oh god. Mundine had the home state "advantage"... Yeah, because all them fans wanted him to "win"...Redback Rasta wrote:What advantages did Green have in the first fight? Should the fight pan out the way most expect, and result in a decisive Green win, I sincerely hope there's someone around to look out for your well-being and guide you through the heartbreak.DA GOOSE wrote:@ lairdy though it would be funny if Mundine actually won. Green would be have to be sedated and put on suicide watch.
OK, so are we going to throw out the old - Green was crook, weight drained etc etc etc. Both were world class Super middles. Dont give me that bullshit about amateur experience. Mundine grew up in the ring. He probably knew more about the sport that Danny did. Did you have to wait until others mention any possible advantage Danny had before you responded.Lairdy wrote:Amatuer experience, height, size... Oh god. Mundine had the home state "advantage"...
