Re: Anthony Joshua vs Eric Molina Announcement

Not a terrible fight on its own merits, but obviously not PPV-worthy. I reckon it'll bomb tbh, only a couple of weeks before Christmas.
I just watched the Arreola fight. He looked very lightweight, although he looked pretty resilient against Wilder. I just don't see it lasting that long.boxingknockout wrote:Yes but his fights against Arreola, Jordan and his win over Grano were not that exciting!!!'Taansend wrote:Molina's fight against Wilder was exciting...boxingknockout wrote:
Are you serious? Molina - Joshua is an 'ok' fight? Do you work for sky?
Who in the IBF rankings is Molina better than other than Price and Martin?Mighty Atom wrote:Scary thing is that Molina was probably the best fighter in the IBF rankings that was available for December.boxingknockout wrote:Are you serious? Chisora v whyte - potential fireworks fight, potential stinker. Chisora should win if motivated.
I can imagine Ortiz will be v some tin can same goes for quigg.
The other fights, OK fights not amazing but better than the headline.
PPV not a chance
Good thing - Keeps Joshua busy
Bad thing - Proves that a fat cruiserweight who has never beaten a half decent fighter can have two shots at the world title.
Joshua KO within 90 seconds
No bro. You got a link?Taansend wrote:Have you seen his fight against Jordan?boxingknockout wrote:Yes but his fights against Arreola, Jordan and his win over Grano were not that exciting!!!'Taansend wrote:

It was brilliant.
He's not conning the "casuals" if what they want to see is Joshua batter someone.freddydoesdallas wrote: he's conning the casuals time and again which costs us
He is conning them by constantly talking about Joshua fighting the best out there then delivering shite.the_doctor wrote:He's not conning the "casuals" if what they want to see is Joshua batter someone.freddydoesdallas wrote: he's conning the casuals time and again which costs us
Anyone who watched the Martin fight and enjoyed it, then watched the Breazeale fight and enjoyed it will be hoping for more of the same.
It would take the casuals 5 minutes to find out how legitimate the claim of 'best' is. It's like any advertising, it's geared towards people who will eat it up. As long as boxing is a business, which it will forever, it will sell this kind of stuff to the highest bidder. Watch the stadium still sell out in 6 minutes.freddydoesdallas wrote:He is conning them by constantly talking about Joshua fighting the best out there then delivering shite.the_doctor wrote:He's not conning the "casuals" if what they want to see is Joshua batter someone.freddydoesdallas wrote: he's conning the casuals time and again which costs us

That's the biggest con. Selling tickets to stubhub is the worstRob3_142 wrote:It would take the casuals 5 minutes to find out how legitimate the claim of 'best' is. We both know how sh1t fights involving WBA belts can be. But who knows.lefty wrote:Pretty dire. I hope Ortiz gets matched with someone half decent but I won't hold my breath. I would have preferred Whyte-Ortiz to be honest but purely so that Ortiz could establish himself with the UK casuals aswell as the hardcore fans.
Ortiz vs Price, anyone?jameswilson wrote:We both know how sh1t fights involving WBA belts can be. But who knows.lefty wrote:Pretty dire. As with the main event it's very late notice so it's almost pointless holding any hope out.
This is what I hate the most, but as long as it's allowed, it will continue on. People will still buy second hand tickets for much inflated prices, and until the rules change, which they need to, it will continue.freddydoesdallas wrote:That's the biggest con. Price is holding out for a 7 figure payday. He is going to fight absolute tripe until he either gets it or has to retire.Boxerbeetle wrote:Ortiz vs Price, anyone?jameswilson wrote:We both know how sh1t fights involving WBA belts can be.
