No chance kov is getting stopped. The extra weight ward has put on has slowed his feet, reduced his punch volume and has done nothing to his punch power. If he wins it will be a decision.

agreed Ward can only win by decision. To me a 50/50 fight I would always go against the non puncher.

I see it 50/50 myself. As for whether it's entertaining, that's 50/50 to. Could great boxing purist wise, both men can box, or could be desperation and power on display in the later rounds and or could be frustration with clinches and premature stopping and breaking apart of in-fighting.

If it makes you warm and cozy, you can rely on those odds. Kova is gonna comfortably win the fight, most likely by stoppage. If I could legally bet here in U.S., I would definitely use those ridiculous odds.

I agree with the OP about John David Jackson.

He will be familiar with all of Ward's tricks and illegal tactics, and may have Sergey well-prepared for the dirty stuff.

He'll be motivated too, this fight will make him famous as a trainer if Kovalev wins.

Layoffs seem to be one of the main reasons folks think Ward is rusty, and he has slowed, etc. Guys like him that are in the gym often regardless of fights, often come back more refreshed. Look at Floyd after almost 2yrs off, coming back to take on the #2pfp guy JMM, without a tune up, and totally schooling him. Ward will win this fight, and imo will prove that Kovalev as not an unbeatable monster like some dumb asses believe.

Yes, I will be available to see your admission of being wrong. People think that Ward is rusty and slowed down, because he looked so in his last 3 fights.

Kovalev is certainly beatable, but not by this version of Ward or probably any version of Ward. Kovalev by stoppage or confident decision.

I finally watched Ward - Brand the mismatch. Brand was the reason the fight got called boring not Ward. Brand was purely there to survive and he is an extremely awkward fighter with a chin, 95% of the fight he was back peddling. Never want to see one of his fights again, never haha. As for Ward. I didn't think much of his Barrera fight and this is more of the same except I think people are underrating his power. He's no Kovalev but he packs a decent enough punch, a punch enough to sting and interrupt rhythm, not a punch you can just walk through IMO. The slower (from previous Ward fights) feet and lack of combo activity in probably where I'd give Kovalev the advantage as well as power of course. Kovalev is more athletic but i'm not confident he'll win. I'm betting on him though as he's one of my favorite fighters but I see him walking into Wards left hand all night.

Ward won't be throwing much of anything once he tastes the kovalev power, let alone left hands 'all night'

If he's in survival mode, what punch do you think he'll land, he'll do a Chilemba. It will be lefts. It's his strongest hand. If he's outboxing Kov, it will be a left hook. Come on Bloweyyy. Still, I can't predict this. SO so many factors. May the best man win (Kovalev).

Only thing I will predict. This is going to decision and that does not automatically mean a Ward win.
