Both as the away fighter
That's more based on who the bookies think the punters will bet on. England in the football regularly have among the shortest odds to win tournaments despite never actually being among the favorites.
Oddly enough I was going to back Ruiz Jr to beat Hughie and I might stick a little bit on him to beat Parker. Despite being fat he has a lot about him when I'v watched him box.
True, but odd pricing that a real boxing fan can take advantage of. I put £25 on Ruiz against Fury, that was a stupid price. Unfortunately never came off.
I need to watch more of Ruiz, but the main issue will be the jet lag going to NZ. Unless he arrived very early that will make a big difference

I don't rate Ruiz that much,he's looked alright sometimes other times he's a bit underwhelming, Parker should win this,Ruiz will be dangerous as like Parker he has fast hands and maybe even a better engine, Parker gassed badly in the Takam fight and if he can't get Andy out of there by halfway it could get heavy weather for Parker, the Dimitrenko fight was a bit of a farce and Alexander was unlucky to get counted out but he brought it on himself really,I do think this will go to the cards and Parker will take the title

Have voted Parker by decision. But this could go either way, and either is capable of stopping the other too.

Parker in the first half of the fight.
Never seen Ruiz fight but he is 28-0 without any good tests at all. I'm always suspect of records like that.
What's his best win ? Ray Austin, a beyond shot Liakovich ?

Full House Expected for Parker vs Ruiz :
“There are less than 500 tickets remaining,” DUCO Events spokesman Craig Stanaway said in a recent update ahead of the heavyweight title fight.

Starting to wonder how much weight Ruiz has actually lost :
"Physically, he's very prepared," said Abel Sanchez on Sunday night.
"If you've seen some of the clips that they've been sending from over there, he was walking taller, he looks thinner, he might be only 255 by fight time. But he's so much more trim and solid."

Duco Events and Top Rank promotions have agreed to co-promote Joseph Parker following this weekend's WBO world title fight.
Top Rank's chief executive, Bob Arum, is in New Zealand for the Parker-Ruiz fight on Saturday and agreed to promote Parker throughout the USA and China while Duco, who have promoted Parker for the majority of his professional boxing career, look after the Australasian market.

NZ is 13 hours ahead of the UK. I would expect the main event to start around 11:00pm NZ time. Maybe a little earlier if the undercards are short fights

I think Parker flatters to decieve. He has fast hands, but moves in straight lines and doesn't move his head. He's going to be exposed sooner or later, I wonder if it might be this fight. The Jeremy Williams of his generation?
