At last, Harrison's gonna get his fornicating gob closed. Skelton won't let Harrison do any work on the outside. He'll swarm all over him and bust him up.

If Harrison does beat Skelton, then I'll be a bit more receptive to him, but Matt's such a nice, down-to-earth likeable guy, you just want him to win.

This is going to be a great fight. Shame it won't be on terrestrial tv.

For such a big bloke Audley fights really well on the inside, IMO this is going to be his main asset in the Skelton fight. Matt is not going to fight Audley at range as Audley is far quicker and technically superior, so Skelton is going to be all over Audley in true Skelton style. If Audley can keep his defence tight and then load up on his punches when fighting in close he will KO Skelton in the first half of the fight (and I will be raping the bookies AGAIN, had a tenner on Williams to beat Tyson 6/1).

Hmm, does Audley punch with enough authority though? Skelton's beard seems pretty good to me, and he seems mentally tough. Most K-1 fighters are pretty undaunted by boxing, as kickboxing is far more painful, they can handle the abuse pretty well. The pace of the fight may not suit audley either.

Either way, I am glad this has come off, really looking forward to what will be the best domestic scrap in years.

I think Audley has the cummulative power to KO him. I'm well excited about this fight and they haven't even had the press conference to announce it.

iN TRUE "J" style ill stick my neck on the block and go for Audley on this, I think he will be well up for this fight in more ways than one, he has to be if he wants to progress a loss and its all more or less over I reckon.
He will be technically good for Skelton who is a decent but techinically very limited, Ive made no bones about it, I dont like the way he fights, big on heart and courage but low on skill, in fact dire.
He's also one of the dirtiest fighters Ive seen for some time, the rabbit punching hitting and holding in the sportt fight was disgraceful.

Aud to snipe him for a few rounds then unload the heavier artillery to win a wide points victory...

If the Harrison that beat Hersisa turns up, I think he'll beat Skelton. If the version of Harrison that fought Julius Francis turns up that is all; "Oooh I better not follow up on any of my punches, something might happen, instead I'll throw one punch and back off to be safe" I can see Skelton winning.

Unfortunately my money is on Warren talking big about delivering this match, but in the end showing us he couldn't deliver a pizza.

Harrison Vs Skelton is great news

As for Joe Calzaghe, anything less than Jeff Lacy will be a letdown for me.

I'll give Harrison his dues here, didn't think it would happen - looks likely now. Well done Audley for proving me wrong.

However, I tipping Skelton via a late stoppage or close decision.

Frank Warrens botched it before, he'll botch it up again.

Surely Audley realises he has to take the fight? He doesn't have that many options. Nobody is going to care about him if he heads back to the U.S. to beat a few more nobodies.

Smart move from allegedly to get the press release out. Audley is still just about the best known active fighter at the moment, with regards to the British public, the obvious exception being Danny Williams. This release has generated enough publicity. If Harrison backs out now, he's surely going to lose the little remaining credibility he had. And you can bet Warren knows that.

Although i am salivating about this fight i would air on the side of caution, with Warren's track record of late with big fights Audley has the perfect "Get out" clause should he suddenly decide he doesn't fancy the fight, a scenario i find extremely likely. Skelton is raw and can probably be outboxed, however Audley lacks the aggression and power to keep him at bay for long periods. When the fight goes on the inside Skelton will do damage, Audley cannot afford the slacking off periods that almost become commonplace in his performances, he must work for 12 rounds because i'm damn sure Skelton will. He has the stamina, power and workrate to demand respect which even against Audley's better technical skills leads me to believe Skelton will win....IF IT HAPPENS! I stress

According to Fightnews the fight is not happening. Audley has said nothing has been confirmed or signed and he won't be going to the press conference.

I think you may be right there Bennie me old son, he's just miffed, because unlike his previous fights where he was promoter and and fighter, he's not in charge. I think that this must be a co-promotion judging my Audley's words, and he feels like he has been dissed because Warren is acting like the sole promoter, and so he's having a hissy fit.

Joe Calzaghe must be miffed, too. He's looking to break the record for the most 'world' title defences ever made by a British fighter (he's currently tied with Chris Eubank) and finds himself having to do so on the undercard to a couple of decaying overrated heavies who will grab all the headlines from him.
