You're an idiot... Kovalev was robbed blind. I knew it was going to be either a SD or a MD for Ward at the end of the fight. Kovalev basically had to beat him by a sold 5 rounds to get it... This was worse then the Canelo-Lara decision because at least there Canelo carried the fight... Kovalev carried the fight, scored a hard no dispute knockdown, landed the cleaner, harder punches, and won most of the rounds... and he still couldn't get it.

I don't see how anyone can make a case for Ward winning that. Dropped, outlanded, outfought, constant holding and spoiling.

I thought Ward won. I wouldn't have a problem with Kov..winning either. I thought it was a close fight with a lot of close swing rounds. Just the fact that moron called somebody an idiot for their opinion.....

Its a Fffing DISGRACE. No wonder no one likes Ward. Kov made him look average. I'm fuming.

Lederman had Kovalev too big a winner -- but he had the right winner for a change... The judges were corrupt.
I wouldn't go as far as corrupt but I do think they got it wrong. But if you're at ringside & not hearing commentary you can see things differently.

I had it 114-113 Ward but I would have been fine with 114-113 Krusher, 115-112 Krusher, or a draw.

To be fair though, listening to commentary you'd think Ward was violating Kovalev. The UK commentary was dreadful, worst I've heard.

100% agree, I was also hoping Kovalev would knock him out but thought that Ward nicked it. I feel there should be a 'even fight' option, I would have definitely picked that. A draw would have been a fair result. For me Kovalev won 4 of the first 6 and Ward won 5 of the last 6 rounds, so I would expect Ward to win more clearly in a rematch.

I told everyone (all Russians) at my place my score but I hoped that it would be a draw because neither fighter deserved to lose that fight. Ward won redemption with me and Krusher also proved he deserves to be seen as elite, imo.

Good post, both are elite, both's stock should raise as a result of this fight.

Any decent poll would have a draw in it.

Go to the UK forum, mine does :OhYes:

The thoughts you're trying to convey about the UK commentary team do not bear any correlation to the actual words articulated. In fact, I'd even suggest that you attend adult education about the English language and then listen again to the same sentences that you originally misinterpreted... and then retract your claims about this matter from the forum. :TU:

I can't tell you how shocked I am that a bunch of imbeciles who are ignorant enough to criticize Andre Ward as a man outside the ring would also call this a "robbery". You clearly don't know what a robbery is. If you follow boxing you would know what a real robbery is. Such emotional little bitches in here. CANT take it when an American excels at a sport that Americans don't ever care about. Makes their blood boil.

God knows what fight you guys were watching most of us in the U.K. had this as a very close fight. I'm assuming you guys had some massively pro kovalev commentary on or something. How can you be so adamantly sure that kovalev won certain middle rounds which were scrappy and very hard to score. You would have had to score all the pick em rounds unilaterally to kovalev to have him ahead by such a wide points margin.

Now I'm not saying it would be wrong to score him those rounds but it seems strange that you guys automatically scored him those rounds and are outraged that anyone would score them for ward.

This last statement really didn't help you unless you're ten years old and doing an English test.

I wouldn't call it a robbery as their were certainly enough swing rounds in the bout that you could make an argument in Ward's favor, but I think you're giving Ward the benefit of the doubt in every single close round to have him winning.
