Far as I'm concerned Hooker is now worth absolutely nothing as it's clear his people have the judges in his back pocket.
Congratulations Hooker you just got blacklisted and you will not be respected and most of your fights are now duds and your record is phoney.
I won't watch Hooker again or take his fights seriously he's finished.
+1

Theres just too many bad decisions in boxing to the tune that it turns fans off. It seems like almost every fight, theres a robbery or a sh1t decision and we've come to expect that as fans. Fights are judged based on nationalities or races of the fighters, or who is the house fighter with ties to the promoter. It has nothing to do with who actually won the fight. Last night was particularly bad. 2 robberies back to back of foreigners in the USA.

The sport loses almost all credibility after that. They need to get rid of judging and find another more objective way to score boxing. But even if they did, its too late. This sport has died.

This sport is dead. Longtime fans have walked away and last night was such crap there couldnt possibly be any new fans. If Ward is p4p #1 this sport is fcuked because I don't think he could sell 1,000 PPV buys. In the past he's atruggled to draw more than 5,000 people to his fights in Oakland.

No one follows this sport anymore cause its sh1t to be honest.

It seemed like the foreigner Perez won close to every round, yet the fight was ruled a draw. One judge even managed to score it 97-93 Hooker. A truly astonishingly bad scorecard to put in context British Feed Sky Sports had it 100-91 Perez (so that judge scored almost every round opposite), HBO also had Perez winning easily. Yet the fight is a draw. One of the worst robberies Ive seen in years of watching the sport. Hooker is American and tied to Roc Nation the promoter so that explains the robbery. Clearly, the decision was political and biased. There is no other explanation.

Then the main event. Ward gets put on his butt in round 2, Kovalev also outlands him significantly on compubox, Kovalev lands the harder more quality shots which is supposed to be the only criteria for judging a fight. HBO and Sky Sports both have Kovalev winning then the phony American judges give the fight to Ward. Obviously the fact that Ward is American and better connected explains the decision. More homecooking from the crooked American judges, gifting the fight to Ward because he is American and better connected than Kovalev.

2 Robberies on the same card. Some of the worst decisions Ive ever seen.
2 Foreigners robbed by crooked American judges.
AND ITS THE SAME STORY EVERY WEEK. SH1TTY DECISIONS EVERY WEEKEND. JUDGES ROBBING GUYS EVERY WEEKEND. Boxing is a dirty dirty sport.

You know after this I dont even give a sh1t about boxing anymore. Ive been a life long fan of the sport but theres only so much crap you want to take. It seems judges are more often phony and crooked than good. Everything is political in boxing nowadays.

Boxing = Sh1t sport

I mean I've been watching boxing my whole life and there are literally hundreds of examples of sh1t decisions, usually against foreigners in the USA like tonight. Foreigners need to stop fighting in the USA... You will not get a decision. And as a boxing fan Ive come to expect robberies as the norm. Not any more tho.

Boxing is a dying sport and its sh1t. Im out, never following this sport again.
You can't score fights.

Your idea that America loves black people,
is in line with all the other racists in this country.

Andrew Kearney is right. Boxing started off as a shady back alley game and it has just gotten worse, especially in Las Vegas, the most crooked city in the country. But boxing judges everywhere are awful and awfully corrupt, and Las Vegas is always the worst. You'd think that on big high profile worldwide viewed events they would try to be on their best behavior, but no, they don't give a sh!t. Like it says above two blatant in your face robberies last night.

Like I have been saying, Russia needs to stand up to all these corrupt western boxing outfits (and a lot of other things too!) and refuse to recognize the Las Vegas mafia decision and the continuous messing with their athletes, like the drug thing with Povetkin, and that was Las Vegas again - Doctor Margaret Goodman and her LV, (Ne)VADA mafia drug testing racket - and form their own boxing league along with eastern Europe and the BRIC countries.

All home teams in football get biased decisions. Same in every country in every sport.

If boxing has an issue it's in the interpretation of the rules. Guys like Floyd, Wlad and Ward have taken the sport down a path that is too far removed from entertainment. The top guys spend years avoiding one another and when they do fight it's tepid.

Yea I mean the sport loses pretty much all credibility last night.

How can judges's decisions be respected when its obvious they are biased and politically motivated? There is a big problem when judges give a card that is different from the public (for example, current poll on thos site over 60% of people had Kovalev winning). And this happens all the time, like every weekend.

Boxing has lost all credibility and thats part of the reason its been relegated to such a small, underground sport now. Most bars don't even show boxing anymore. No one cares. Probably lost even more fans last night.

No one cares about boxing anymore cause the fights are sh1t, and the judging has no credibility whatsoever, the sport itself is just sh1t. There were plenty of empty seats at the fight last night and Ward's promoter even lost money putting the fight on. There is no future for this sport.

Sh1t sport to be fair.

You made an error in your mathematical calculation there, professor. That should read "1 of the most corrupt governments in the world", and of course I am not speaking of great Russia. Don't feel bad. Anyone can make a mistake.

There is talk of a rematch but lets be honest. It was kind of a sh1t fight, and a rematch wouldn't sell (not that the first fight really sold either). Nobody cares even less so now.

A rematch is a horrible idea. They could offer it for free and it still wouldnt sell. Nobody fcuking cares at this point. Its a sh1t sport.

All I can say is for you and others that are tired of the sport and so negative, constant whining and bitching, the sport would be better without you. Don't let the door hit you on the ass on the way out. :TU:

A lot of fans are leaving the sport. No one even cares about boxing anymore. Crap decisions like this show how out of touch with reality judges. You can argue scoring but none of that really matters when it comes down to judges are politically biased and support boxers of a certain nationality or promotion affiliation.

No wonder this is a dying sport. It has no credibility whatsoever. Robberies every weekend. 2 robberies back to back on the same HBO PPV telecast. No wonder this sport is dead and mainstream media doesnt even bother to cover it.

It is not a few lost hardcore fans boxing needs to worry about. It is thousands of casual fans who will quit watching if boring huggers dominate the sport.

You are obviously krushed. Next time it will likely be worse. Ward won. It wasn't as close as I thought it was last night.

No, it wasn't close. Kovalev outboxed Ward winning about 8 rounds.

He lost. Get over it. It was fair. Of course, nothing is fair for you unless it is the result you wanted. Ward won, whether you like it or not. You can't change it no matter how loudly you squeal.

Are you really so dumb ? Overwhelming majority of experts, media and fans think that Kovalev won. You can keep repeating that Ward won, but it will not what most think.

It wasn't fair though, it was a gift decision. I don't see how anyone can say the guy who got dropped, his face turned blue, outlander and kept clinching and spoiling won the fight.

I give Ward credit for keeping going and his work to the body to wear kov down but that wasn't enough to win it.

I had Kov winning 7, one draw and Ward 4. Blatant home decision.

Can you honestly say Kov didn't win the 10th which most judges gave to Ward? Or that if the fight had non American judges Ward would have still won?

Unfortunately I could see the way the tide was going after Perez was robbed.
