If you don't want to take them then don't. If you're more skilled then your opponent you will win, barring an upset. Nothing changes.lefty wrote:Saying that though- Teper looked horrendous against Hammer. He's never been the most skilled but he did atleast have some pop and some durability when he was juiced off his tits. Against Hammer it looked like he had no power whatsoever and he got hurt in the fight against a moderate puncher.punchoutsb wrote:So how many people has Lucas Browne killed in the ring? Marius Wach? would never sanction it if you could dump whatever you want into your body with no repercussions. You need testing. Use your brain. You sound like a Neanderthal.
Peformance enhancing drugs do just that, enhance performance. The idea that allowing steroid use will create a murderous row of killers is, to be frank, stupid. Ask Big Larry Olubamiwo how his drug use allowed him to last almost a round with Fat John McDermott. No one really cares about boxers health, if they did they would be out gathering signatures to ban the sport.
I'm not saying all drugs should be allowed, but drugs like HGH and test absolutely should be.
I can see the argument for allowing PED's to be allowed but what about the guys that don't want to take them due to health concerns? You mentionex HGH and that is an incredibly potent drug that can help reverse the effects of ageing to an extent amongst other things but it also causes growth in other areas that you wouldn't want growth and can speed up the growth of cancerous tumours and so forth.
There will of course be an element of risk but side effects are often terribly overstated and are associated with ABUSE rather than USE. But cell phone usage increases the risk of cancer as well according to certain studies; should we ban cell phones for business folk? I'm not saying that to be snarky towards you, but the arguments against PEDs are almost always based on misinformation, faux morality, or faux concerns for health...meanwhile those signing off on laws to ban/further regulate PEDs to protect the public health drink alcohol and smoke cigarettes. Interesting.
