Hagler was well regarded when he first came to Philly but still a question mark and some locals wondered if he could cope with our guys. According to legend, promoter Russell Peltz was alleged to have said to Pat Petronelli before Hagler's original Philly fight, "Guys from New England can't fight." Petronelli responded - "This one can !"

He certainly could....i feel bad 'cos I have come off topic...maybe start a new thread...memories of Philly!!
