Re: Wlad Klitschko vs Mike Weaver?

Everyone but you knows ray Mercer was a different fighter against wlad than he was against Morrison. Hold strong, defend the lunacy.
Obviously English is not your first language, so I'm not making fun of you. Far superior to my Spanish. That being said, I have no idea what you're trying to say with any of this. Even with wlad's flimsy resume, Mercer is not even close to his best win. Best name doesn't equal best winKeko wrote:Well obviously he had his prime as logical.
Ray Mercer.
I speak to each boxer had his prime at some point. Mercer then obviously with Morrison.SaadOffTheDeck wrote:Obviously English is not your first language, so I'm not making fun of you. Byrd or haye is his best win. Didn't you mention mercer?Keko wrote:I speak to each boxer had his prime at some point. Yew best name is not best win, Byrd is best win of Wlad.
I'm trying to learn to write
I have written Byrd and Mercer. Later I even wrote Mercer just like the name because he was away from his prime.SaadOffTheDeck wrote:Byrd or haye is his best win. He would be allowed to... But he just wouldn't be able to... Mike was 1/10th the boxer Alexander Povetkin is -- and AP couldn't land anything on Wlad.Ambling Alp II wrote:A lot depends on one crucial factor. Would Weaver be allowed to punch Klitschko in the face?

That pretty much sums it up. If Wlad gets hit hard, he's in trouble. Manny S. taught him (usually) how not to get hit hard.
Weaver improved dramatically for whatever reason. Mike was getting knocked out by a higher clientele. When he started he not only got beaten by Duane, but by Rodney Bobick as well. A good indicator of his improvement was that he had lost to Stan Ward and then beat him. He had a lot of wars by the Du Ploy fight. Du Ploy was a prospect for about a month and a half. I remember he came into the ring with Lou Duva to the song Johnny B Goode. Hadn't thought about that in a long time.golden oldie wrote:That's not strictly true is it? Weaver was knocked out in his 41st fight by Smith having had only 20 fights 5 of which he had lost. Similarly in his 46th fight he lost to Du Plooy who had only 19 fights. Then there was the 15 fight novice Lewis in Mike Weavers 52nd fight.Tony1244 wrote:golden oldie wrote:

Wlad, like Weaver, and Earnie Shavers for that matter did get better with age. They learned how not to get knocked out by people like Ron Stander and Lamon Brewster. Having said that, I'd pick Wlad over Weaver because I'm thinking about the Wlad who learned to pace himself and not get hit too often.
Vlad on the other hand went on an 11 year 22 fight run before losing again after Brewster.
Weaver lost tremendous number of fights and was an inept boxer at best... He wasn't very big either... Wladimir would have plowed him under -- just like the slowpoking puncher James Smith did... However, Wlad had only a 2-fight winning streak going in the Brewster fight... He had a 16-fight winning streak going heading into the Corrie Sanders fight.golden oldie wrote:That's not strictly true is it? Vitali Klitschko was so concerned about his brother's welfare that he begged him to retire after his 3rd defeat to Brewster... "I make enough money for both of us Wladimir. You need to do something else -- you're just not a fighter." ... Wlad said, "I'm so happy you're so concerned about my health, but it's my career.. I'm going to be fighting when I'm 40 years old so you better get used to it.. Nobody is going to make me quit, and I'm going to win the title back if it kills me."
Kalan wrote:Vitali told the story. He didn't have faith in his brother after his 3rd KO defeat.
But Wlad kept insisting he was drugged and completely "out-of-it" by the 2nd round. He was looking good but he said he could barely stand up he was so tired.. He started going for an early KO win because he felt like he was passing out and any second he was going to keel over. Wladimir went so far as to hire the famed lawyer Judd Bernstein and his legal team to investigate what happened to him in the Brewster fight. A very unusual thing his investigators found was that all of his urine samples had been flushed down a toilet "by accident" instead of being stored.

Brewster had been working for the illuminati (secret organisation founded by Wilt Rothschild) for years and they had plotted his path to the prestigious WBO title ruthlessly, mirroring how they had taken over the monetary system of the whole world. Wladimir was just a pawn in the game. After this KO defeat both Klitschkos started working for the secretive Bethmann family and plotted behind closed doors to regain glory in the boxing world. Due to this, Wladimir changed his style and became champion again. He was never drugged again in a fight despite the Rothschilds desire for the WBO belt.
