I suppose it all comes down to your view on what's a great night of boxing and what is cheap. Frank Buglioni Vs. Hosea Burton and Dereck Chisora Vs. Dillian Whyte where good fights. The kind of fights I'd expect on SKY Sports. The rest of the card was predictable. £16.95 for some, depending on their circumstances, is the difference between heating their homes for the next 7 days or going cold. Not everyone is loaded. Some people on the breadline would have been guliable enough to fork out the money thinking they where going to be treated to a 6 hours extravaganza of boxing, unrivaled to the shows they may receive through their SKY Sports subscription, only to be let down.

Agree with you there even though it's going to be a 41 year old man, who has boxed once in 2 years, cashing out. Allegedly both him and his wife, who's Postnatal Depression was blamed for him losing against Fury, are trying for baby number 2. Yeah I bought it had all my mates round for a piss up so was worth it. Chisora v Whyte was a brilliant fight.

Its like putting man city vs chelsea on for an extra £10 just cause its a top of the table clash,and i bet eddie hearns contract with sky is nowere near 5. Whatever billion

The point is not whether it was a good bill or whether people can afford it , its the principal of paying for a TV licence, then paying for a SKY Sports package and paying again for a night of boxing. The Open Golf last round is NOT on PPV, the FA Cup Final is not on PPV the Premier League decider is not on PPV, the Grand National is not on PPV etc etc its the boxing. that's on PPV.
Do we ever get to find out how many 'buys' there are?
My understanding of how the money is divided is as follows:

The live gate money pays for everything surrounding the event, purses, stewarding, hire of arena etc etc.
The promoter gets a fixed fee for arranging the event, possibly with a bonus for 'extra' PPVs and SKY pocket the PPV buys plus the advertising.
Come on BT Sport, do them again like the Champions League contract.
