'lefties' are clearly responsible for any excesses committed by or in the name of Islam, and 'lefties' must appear in the court of public opinion to justify and defend those excesses, did you miss that meeting?

The point I'm making is generally here on boxrec if you dare mention anything to do with islam you get called racist by some of the more left wing posters
Really? I would have thought Anthony Small being a fornicating idiot is something left and ring wing people can agree on.

It's the militant wing of the gay political movement, obviously.

That or auto correct on my iPad.

That the terrorist was a Muslim...
The lorry attack was in Nice.

I don't see why stating a fact would get you banned. That was all you said was it?

Always nice to see how non judgmental lefties are with out a hint of superiority about them
I've only ever voted Conservative. I just like taking the piss out of saddo's who try to make everything political.

It's a thread about an ex boxer who is also a total dick & a few petty twats try to turn it into a political whingfest - although they don't seem very smart

Keep your vague political ideas (leftie or rightie) to the Off Topic page & let's talk about boxing on here.

You can run along now.

Definitely a fascinating watch....I still think Small is more accurately classed as a dullard.

He just has no intellectual scope or depth that allows him to debate rationally or question his own actions....he's been told that what he follows is true Islam and has accepted this literally and in its entirety. Trying to do anything else and he's out of his comfort zone.

I don't think that it is any coincidence that so many of these people are what might be classed as empty vessels; their lack of education and overall life skills makes them highly suggestible and easily manipulated.

He looked utterly pathetic walking round the house with his childish, printed-off crib sheets - instructing others far more able/educated than him - and this behaviour underlined a desire not to be challenged and to somehow pre-establish a moral legitimacy without being forced to debate.

Maybe he's an idiot savant but my best guess is that he's been moulded by others who easily preyed on a lack of confidence, education and purpose.

Almost like the showmakers knew exactly the light he would show himself in and how he would come across. Far cry from giving him a platform to recruit.

Ginty, you have an obsession with left wing people being upset or offended by everything.
I've no idea what you're on about.

I'm as left as they come. I'm a union rep (an unpaid role that takes a lot of time protecting the rights of colleagues), read Socialist Worker, attend demos and like Jeremy Corbyn. Most of my mates are the same.
Not a single one of us would have the first fvcking clue what you're on about.

Lots of people are idiots for various reasons.

Being a boxing forum it may be said that Ricky Hatton can be a prick when he has been on the ale - the ale drinking being a key factor in his level of prick-ness.

However if someone said that the likes of Small is a prick and a key factor being the religious shite he comes out with them those who are professionally offended like to take the opportunity to be offended.

I disagree. I'm as left wing as they come on this board and I say he's an idiot. He comes across like a lost little boy parroting things he's been indoctrinated into saying. I feel somewhat sorry for him, but I do consider his beliefs to be dangerous and like the platform he's been given where he's essentially being made a fool of. I live in a town with a large Muslim population and people like Small are a tiny minority and should be called out more by other muslims, hopefully this will go some way to making that a possibility.

And - using my example - Hatton is an innocent little lost boy indoctrinated into drinking and taking drugs?

Why doesn't anybody take ownership and responsibility for their actions any more?

He's a grown man, of course he has to take responsibility for his actions. He spent months in Belmarsh through his actions. I made an observation, I'm not alleviating him of his responsibility.

The Hatton comparison is really fornicating stupid. :TU:
