Meh I'm just not excited about Selby anymore.

Within a few weeks of both fighting Russell called Selby out. Then neither fighter has a fight for a year.

If he has a fight with Frampton etc etc I'll tune in.

agreed. These no name mandatories don't interest me.
He needs a British clash to get people interested. Galahad looks like he's lining himself up.
Frampton, Quigg and Warrington all there to be made should he want them...

I wasn't too excited about this when it was meant to happen 1st time around but I was gutted it got called off but here we go, at least Selby gets to defend his title and hopefully push for the Frampton fight, Barros a former world champ himself and has been in with some world class fighters, Ive never seen him before but I have a feeling Selby might struggle against him, I haven't been too impressed with Selby's form lately, might be one of those ones where Barros losses wide on the cards but Selby wont shine, pretty much exact same as his title reign so far

Signing the Al Haymon contract he lost all the momentum he built after beating Gradovich - he should have fought 4-5 times more since then.

He seen the Al Haymon millions and went - it's definitely not worked out for him.

This fight will be a lot closer than people think.

I favour Selby but won't be surprised if it's around 115-113 or split decision.

Yeh I toyed with this one on my betting slip.Im thinking Selby will be switched on here as its his first showing on ITV he will be keen not to slip up.I think Barros has been quite inactive recently and Selby also has the age advantage on his side.

I still think Selby is the most overated boxer in the country though, never really rated him tbh.

Some will use it as a motivation - but you might only find out once in the ring and how it's actually affected him in run up to the fight.

If he hadn't had so many call offs / cancellations in last 18 months - I'm sure he'd have cancelled.

Wonder how long Selby can make FW.

Looks awful at the weight last few fights.

I have no idea how he makes it. He's huge for the weight.

That was a lovely left hook Selby put Barros down with in the 12th, dominant performance from Selby(120-107) all the more impressive considering what he's been through this week, he came out with intent in the 1st and found a home for the right hand early and as the fight progressed his left hand was the more successful weapon, Barros had a better spell in the 7th/8th but Lee's quality still nicked those rounds on my card, Selby did slip into that familiar sparring mode for a few rounds but finished well

Barros never truly threatened but considering Selby lost his mum a few days ago that was very measured performance, credit to him

Selby is clearly a good fighter but his career has gotten pretty boring. We've all seen that he can dominate these types of guys...nearly 10 years pro and arguably hasnt fought anyone better than a faded Gradovich.

Selby needs to be in with Frampton, Quigg, Warrington or Galahad next...

I posted earlier in the week before Selby issues that I thought this was how the fight would play out but ive got to give it a lot more credit for after what he's been through, to even fight after losing your mum suddenly is unthinkable

As for Selby the boxer, he's a guy who needs a challenge
