Really, you genuinely think it would be that easy to defy a national anti-doping agency ban? The wbc, wbo, ibf and wba would not sanction Fury if he is subject to a national ban, a ban imposed by an agency that is WADA complient.

He'd still be the linear champion... and believe me, if Wilder is involved, GoldenBoy will more than bend over backwards to find some ABC commissioner to sign off on the bout.... You all tend to forget how often Mike Tyson and others were 'banned' for marijuana and other drugs, only to compete in world title matches or eliminators.

Hope he comes back. I'm a big fan and I think the sport needs more like him tbh! He's not unbeatable far from it but I think if he comes back at his best he'll be in some right entertaining fights!

Who should he face in his comeback fight? Straight in with a Parker or Wilder or in with someone to ease him in?

You're in dreamland. If Fury is banned by UkAd he will not get sanctioned by the WBC, WBA, WBO or IBF to fight for one of their titles regardless of what local boxing commission give him a licence to box.

This isnt the 1980s or 1990s. Anti-doping is now taken very seriously. For example the WBC have recently partnered up with VADA to come up with their own anti-doping programme.

The only way Fury will be fighting anytime soon is if the panel currently ruling on his positive nandrolone test accept his appeal.

I have read that Fury will not face an anti-doping ban for his positive cocaine test as it was a recreational drug that did not enhance any performance.

When was Mike Tyson ever banned for a postive drug test? Thats news to me and I couldnt find anything on the internet to back uo your claim.

As I've said in a previous post. He may actually be serving his ban and it expires in February 2 years after the failed drugs test.

What's really annoying me not just this forum but anywhere online and in the press.

Instead of people saying who he will fight when he will fight etc etc etc

Instead of speculating about his next fight everyone should be asking what is happening with the UKAD charge ? Is he legitimately a drugs cheat ? Is he serving a ban ? Why did UKAD take 16 months to charge him for a failed drugs test ? Why was he able to fight after failing a drugs test months before. The hearing was last month what happened there ?
( all questions applicable to Hughie as well )

Do you think all drug cheats should ignore the commissions etc and just move on and ply their trade elsewhere?
If I know boxing, it is this: wherever a jurisdiction exists and allows fighters to compete, boxers will go there and apply their trade. :TU: Besides, as far as I am concerned myself the BBBC is too strict and outdated with their ideals and laws. This is a sport, this isn't the humanitarian of the year award. Quit treating it as such. Sportsmen are not role models, they are just appointed as such. In this day and age, drugs (especially marijuana and cocaine) is the LEAST of boxing's problems. If it's PED's, then by all means ban them. However, a ban in the United Kingdom, isn't going to apply in say Nevada or Los Angeles or New York. The BBBC needs to "get with the times" and let fighters fight if they are mentally and physically capable of doing so, instead of making it into issues of politics and ideals of how fighters should behave, act, think, speak, etc.
Because of his substance abuse Fury wasn't capable of fighting physically or mentally if we are taking him and his team at their word.

If I am not mistaken it was following the Andrew Golota bout, in which Tyson tested positive for marijuana and the results (3rd round kayo) were turned into a no-contest and he had to pay a fine and was suspended for a time. I could be wrong on this, but he did face some sort of penalty.

As for Mr. Fury and Great Britain, as I said the BBBC is an outdated organisation chalk full of ideals, that have little to do with boxing (imho) and when it comes to recreational drugs--- which is the only drugs Fury has ever been caught doing---- they really need to get with the times. It should be overlooked, and in reality, I can't think of anyone in recent years who has been under the kind of scrutiny Tyson Fury has been: his "controversial" words on the Bible and homosexuality being investigated (for crying out loud, Britain is now an Orwellian dystopia) to this current situation, among other things that have occured since his career took off. I can only think it has to do with racism towards gypsies in general, cus I have never seen another British or Irish or Scottish sportsman held to the same degree of crap as he.

I've not seen another British or Irish or Scottish sportsman come out with the same amount of crap that he has to be fair. He sent a tweet saying he thinks gay people should be shot in fairness.

Yes, Fury might not be able to fight for them other titles but what about the IBO title? himself and Eubank on terrestrial ITV with cheap ppv may well be the future with both Fighters forging a new era of boxing. Fighters make the titles not the other way around.

I've been called from a pig to a dog for sticking up for Tyson, but he never called for gay people to be shot at all. Yes, he got off his head all year, no question, and will have to be punished but the main damage was done to himself.

Yes he did. He then blamed someone else for the tweet.

Thing is, it doesn't really work that way. Have a track record of being a normal person and then your account starts spouting a load of anti-gay nonsense and your 'hacked account' story looks believable. Tyson's excuse just looks feeble.

He doesn't like gay guys, fine, whatever, his opinion. But he can't expect to not be slagged off for it.

Drug cheats is something I hate in the sport but the thing about all these failed tests that is the most annoying is lack or transparency. Type of drug, time of test and ban should be sorted out in days or weeks not months or longer.

How can Hughie be #1 in line for WBO when no details of a failed drug test are made public seems to be just swept under the rug.

Reports suggest a return in April or May. So taking over in 2017 is out of the question.

A possible 2 fights next year, then a big showdown with the undisputed champion the following year?

John Terry and Ryan Giggs have both taken a lot of shit for things that have happened in their careers and rightly so, back in September, Burnley striker Andre Gray was fined and suspended for homophobic and racist tweets.

If you're in the public eye and you act like a bellend then don't cry when the inevitable backlash comes, if Tyson isn't into the whole gay movement then that's his belief but when he starts airing his opinions about how a bunch of people who have never done an ounce of harm to him should be shot then people are going to call him out on it.

I believe the Joshua-Klitschko fight is also for the vacant IBO title, so Fury can't fight for that one.
He is still the Lineal and Ring Magazine champion though, so that's good enough.

Live and let live, it's not effing difficult is it?

When has words become things that kill?
When has opinion become something venomous?
When has being true to yourself become something to be condemned?

We'll never live in a "live and let live" society, if we also condemn and investigate and criticize and put people in exile for having opposing views that differ from your own. That's what you and so many others have failed to recognize. How can we live in a truly free society in this world, if we pick and choose what is acceptable to hear and see? And worse, we then decide to make such things "criminal" and "ignorant" and "disgusting", etc. in the eyes of not just society, but the law as well.

Sure, the LGBT community has a right to comment on his words, just as much as he has a right to comment on their beliefs. We all have that right to do so. Human beings are rather creative and expressive people, and each individual expresses his or herself in their own unique way. That doesn't make you bad, that makes you yourself.

The fact that Tyson Fury was made something of a villain, because of being his own person, is the real shame. That's the real crime. Because if it can happen to him: it can happen to anyone. Today, it may be this issue or that issue, but what will the next "you cant say that", or "how dare you" to come along? That's the scary thing we live with in our world. Hopefully, an eventual meeting at the crossroads (for society) will come sooner or later, and we shake off these self imposed chains of ours and start to laugh at ourselves again, and quit making mountains out of mole hills and being so damned offended of everything.

Its a wonder any of you have survived into adulthood, if one considers the epic meltdowns and nervous breakdowns people have over certain subjects. It truly is astounding to me, how easily offended people are anymore, and how quick they are to anger and wrath and out for blood just because someone SAYS something you disagree with.
