I'm not bragging about how much money I have or don't have; I pretty much get all the PPV cards, I subscribe to BN and am never arsed about streaming or suchlike. I like watching on HD TV rather than risking a stream which may or may not work. But I just don't have any interest in this fight at all. If it had been free, and if I'd been home alone and bored, I would have had it on. As it stands I have other plans, and they genuinely extend to going out for a pint. That's how little I care about it.

I've not bought a PPV in years, not a point of principle, it is just that I can't remember thinking one as being value for money.

This is a shite main event. Quinlan is very ordinary, Geale looked shot to pieces against him in my opinion. Other than that he has no win of any value. Eubank is decent but nowt exceptional in my eyes.

Price, Galahad and Etches are in good fights, it would be a solid Sat night big card on Sky or BN - 100% not PPV though. I'm not even swithering with this

The Martin fight also had Selby and McDonnell in World title fights as well as Macklin and Groves fighting. The Whyte fight had Mitchell in a world title fight as well as Chisora, Bellew, Eubank Jr, Luke Campbell and Paulie Maliganaggi. You can question the main event, but the undercard fights were much better than the Eubank Jr-Quinlon fight.
And moreover, you cannot compare Joshua and Eubank Jr. Joshua is a huge name, with crossover appeal that very few boxers achieve. The PPV sells to people that don't normally watch boxing but will tune in and buy because it's him, because it's 'an event'. Same as it was for someone like Hatton.

Does anyone think that people are becoming a bit delusional about their popularity due to social media like twitter, instagram etc where it's possible for people to have 1 million 'fans' but essentially it's just people clicking when they see a celebrity lifestyle for no cost?

When i was on twitter, i used to follow a load of random shite but it didn't actually mean i cared about them

This will crash and burn - absolutely no demand to see this fight. It'll be so poorly taken up that something might happen in the week leading up to the fight.
Someone said 'what's his name' was getting £44,000 can you see Eubank going ahead on only a share of the PPV if less than 1000 buys?

I really hope it's a disaster, if it was a big success can you imagine the shite other promoters would try to flog as PPV?

For the sake of £4, this could have made this fight with Sky and prevented all the aggravation - and they would have made more money out of it. This is just a frace now.

If they had've priced the event at £3 (as was originally touted) - I probably would have watched it, because it really would be next to free for all of us. But now that they've pushed it up by a multiple of four, I won't be watching it.
And nor do I believe that I'll be missing anything spectacular - except another Eubank Jr beatdown.

And it will be impossible for them to have 6 million viewers. There's absolutely no way.

considering the fight is less than a month away, and I've seen ZERO promotion for this fight thus far, I can see only one outcome for this ridiculous idea.

As others said, at a lower price, this would have been a good proposition, they'd probably have made more money, casuals aren't going to spend 12.95 on what is effectively a fringe contender level fight.

A big factor will be how people can pay - if it's a faff, most people will just turn over, or not tune in to it in the first place.

I thought i'd pop onto seetickets and see what was available. I could pick up 5 tickets in every category in low numbered rows and seats. Not sure if the low rows and seats actually means much but picking up 5 tickets suggests take up isn't great

Eubank doing a couple of interviews today, Good Morning Britain and TalkSPORT, I'll be interested to see how much ITV bother to promote this fight. If they don't put much into it it could (and should) do absolutely horrendous numbers.

Can't understand anyone not having a android box like zgemma that records one channel while you watch another. Has every channel thatbsky has, through a dish (not streaming), including all PPVs, for a one off payment of Circa £145 (,equipment and subscription for a year,)

Sky, BT and now even ITV are taking the consumer to the cleaners
