Big scheme of things no one cares about this fight.
Pacman needs to go straight into a big contest, warm ups no good we've seen them.

Randall Bailey said that chin wasn't that hard to crack. Bailey would have handle Horn in prime vs prime fight this dude has no wins to deserve this fight.
Bailey gets stopped by Horn and then turns around and questions Horn's jaw. I wonder how Bailey rates his own ribs?

Why is everyone so pissed off? PAC has more than earned the right to fight whomever he wants.

I'm a big Horn fan. I've been following his career closely, but to say it's an easy win against Pac isn't even close to true. And better skills than Mayweather?? No. He is good though and I'll be rooting for him big time. It'll be more competitive than the Vargas fight at least.

The Queensland State Government will meet with promoters Duco Events on Tuesday and Suncorp Stadium is expected to be locked in as early as this week for the April 23 bout between Jeff Horn and Manny Pacquiao.

The fight will be beamed into 159 countries including 92 million homes in China and 33 million in America through the Home Box Office network.

Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said her Government would lace up the gloves if the finances were right. “There is no bad seat at Suncorp Stadium and I can see why the organisers have identified it as a possible venue for the bout,” she said.

“If it stacks up for the taxpayer, Queensland will be in the fight for the fight.”

The thing is, if they were billing it as a farewell tour for Manny instead of a tough fight it would be different. Instead we get the old bait and switch from Arum. All November and December he only mentioned Crawford, Lomanchenko, Garcia, Thurman. Everyone is really looking forward to Pac's next fight. In January it changes to two names - Horn, and then they throw out Gavin's name. I hope Horn is better than Gavin.

So your issue is with Bob arum playing the role of a promoter?

Yes, I have had an issue with the lying sack Arum for years, and the way he has treated Pacquiao. Evidently Pac isn't smart enough to get away from him, because he has had several chances to do so. Has Pac earned the right to fight who he wants? Yes, but I doubt that he would rather fight Horn for peanuts in comparison for fighting a legit top 5 or 10 guy for millions more. (Porter, Spence, Brook, Crawford, Lomo, even Khan) are all available, would jump at the chance to fight Pac, and would be PPV.
From what I have seen of Horn, he is very average. Hope I am wrong.

PAC isn't a big ppv draw anymore. PAC/porter wouldn't make as much coin as this horn fight. Not a huge arum fan either, but he's done right by Manny. Can't see how you can say otherwise.

It was inserted in his throat for protection. Titanium is commonly used to help repair bone fractures. Not like they are any type of bionic enhancements. By the way, is Horn still teaching school and boxing part-time?

I know about the titanium Horn had inserted in his neck - it was big news here. It's the claim Horn also has it in his hands I am questioning.

I could only find one article where it said he had a tiny plate to help speed the healing in one hand that he had fractured.

A really interesting article about Jeff Horn and his trainer Glen Ruston appeared in the Australian Newspaper. It is too large to post in its entirety here. But here is a shortcut to the full article.

http://www.theaustralian.com.au/life/we ... 93a79b4fcb

I found this part particularly interesting :

“I developed the style many years ago,” says Jeff Horn's trainer Glen Rushton, 59.

“I call it a ‘Broken Rhythm Pressure’ style. It’s built on chaos theory. I’m coming at you but you don’t know what I’m going to throw and you’ll never know what I’m gonna throw.” His hands form fists and his shoulders move and his legs wobble and his head shakes from side to side. “You don’t know when I’m comin’, you don’t know what I’m throwin’. You don’t know which way I’m comin’ in, you won’t know which way I’ll go out.

“There is a rhythm to it. You just can’t work it out. You won’t know it because, in fact, I don’t even know it. I’m just programmed to do so many things, programmed to adjust. The art of deception. Completely unpredictable but there’s a pattern there. A drop of water in a lake.

The ripple

This fight will do big numbers in Asia and it is far enough ahead of the west to do decent numbers.

These days every big fight is the biggest ever. There's always some way to spin it.
